ruger 77/17 Hornet. Not a true varmint, but heavier than the magnum contour. It's comparable to the 77 predator contour. No beavertail like the VT.... It's running factory 1 inch rings and a bushy 4.5 - 14x. No mods.
If you are practiced on shooting sticks, the trigger sticks don't have much to offer, but they'd do fine IMO..... Thanks! I'll have to give the trigger sticks a try. I don't particularly like the shooting sticks I have now (Hunter's Specialties?).

We need to rename this thread to the above.... I'm speculating his Ruger is the killin'est 17 Hornet off the assembly line so far....unless the US Military starts using them to snipe those ISIS varmints over in Syria.... all of these Colorado varmint migrate to his place to commit suicide it seems...they must also plan on getting 72 virgins

Laws aren't preventative measures. In other words, more laws won't prevent gun crime from happening.

thanks for being such an outstanding guide. Couldn't have done it without you... Yup, it took all my powers of observation, the herd was at least 175 yards away, and the grass was a good 8 inches tall. Plus, there were only 7 of 'em. Not everybody could've spotted those.

When HM brings out the 77 "Little Sexy" 17, the dogs seem to lay down on command. I know I get real wood over that laminate beauty, and enjoy the working carnage pics.
