I have been given permission by the magazine to inform all of the digital subscribers that this issue will be available for download for $6.99. If you aren't a current digital subscriber I believe they can still help you.

They are going to try to get a link up on their website but you can contact Ms. Kendra Newell at 1-800-899-7810 ext. 109 or at kendrariflemag.com

She was very gracious in responding to my begging and pleading and I hope everyone who needs to access it will do so.

Excellent, many people were unable to locate it in their normal haunts!

Thanks Mike, but I just went a different route and asked WTF this wasn't made available to subscribers, since I'm assuming without subscribers there would be no Rifle magazine.

Same here. I read it cover to cover last night. If there was a bad article in there, I couldn't tell.

Mike very kindly forwarded me a spare copy and the reason I like these special editions is that they are created around the writers with actual ownership and experience with big bore rifles.

I have always been aggravated by .30/06 specialists reviewing a .416 and fumbling their way through it to the degree of insult to both the cartridge and the reader with genuine interest.

This is a good edition albeit, ineptly distributed. It could have been improved with a little more emphasis on hand-loading, because there is infinitely more hand-loading owners using them on lesser game, than the small percentage who factory feed them in the big game fields.

I don't want to beat them up since they made it available, but am scratching head about decision making process involved.

There was some mention of it in some article, don't remember exactly where. Haven't finished re-reading all of it yet though.

Is this going to be sent to the print subscribers like the Lever Action special editions?

I was told the decision was made for this issue to be newsstand only!

That is why I implored them to make it available digitally for those that either missed it before sold out or lived 100 miles from a place that would stock it on shelves.

My suggestion would be e-mail or call the nice lady in the original post and download and save to computer and read as pdf file.

Unless you can get a buddy to mail you a copy.

I have not seen it locally where they normally carry Wolfe magazines, the ones I saw where a fluke while on vacation in Florida and trolling a books-a-million store for something to read.

The same applies to many gun-reviewers trying now to review the 'flood' of European straight-pull rifles like the Lynx Model 94, Blaser R93 and R8, Merkel Helix, Fabarm Iris, Browning Maral, ROWA Titans etc etc...

We'll never see this edition in Australia, as a subscriber that kind of irks me that it was not made available, but will see about getting the paid for digital edition.
Cheers...

Picked a copy up this weekend at the local bookstore and a Rimfire special edition from Guns and Ammo

Well I got into a 'pissing' match with Don at Wolfe publishing and told them to cancel my subscription. I have had to ask twice for that to be done, so we'll see.

I have NO [bleep] idea why I need to A) go to I-Tunes to purchase an online copy or B) have to CALL them to get an online copy.

Apparently they can't figure out how to make a copy available on THEIR site to purchase. [bleep]'em.

It amuses me that people that pay for x number of issues with their subscription feel entitled to x+2. Not to mention that their subscription is for Magazines with a completely different name.
