Winter ticks have been decimating New Englands moose herds lately. Its been bad. Biologists say they've counted 90,000 ticks on a single Nes Hampshire moose!

It's a self correcting problem. Unfortunately the moose herd has to crash to get the tick population to crash because the days of DDT are long over.

don.t that just suck! there is one unintended consequence of the epa sticking its nose in.
so far here in n Idaho I have never seen a tick on deer, elk,or moose. nor on black bear. years ago in California the hide of a deer looked like it was moving after death, with all the ticks abandoning ship. still gives me the hebejebees thinking about all the ticks I would wash off me after packing a deer.
