Here's a picture of kkalaska with a gorgeous moose. That's a heck of a nice picture too. Congrats kk.

Awesome moose. Congradulations! Let me guess his spread. Between 58 to 60 inches. Am I correct? Very nice photo.

Give us the scoop on the rifle and load. That looks like a really fancy remington pump, I'm guessing it's a 35 whelen. Good shooting, Weagle

Remington 7600 .35 Whelen 56 gr IMR 4320 250 Speer.
Had a great hunt and good partners. We saw 7 bulls
and called them all in from less than 20 yards to 50 yards. Where I shot the above bull at 50 yards. We passed on one that was bigger (4 brow tine area)
and my buddy was not sure it had 3 brow tines. We are trying to find a reliable way of judging bulls over 50"
ears on mature bulls seem to be 22" to 24" apart in normal position. So a bull with 13" outside of his ears
(should) be legal but if you are wrong F&G own everthing you hunt with! 60" by the way
Kurt

Great photo. I have not seen a pump rifle in a coon's age! Never seen one hung on that much antler for sure!

KK, nice moose, and I love that remington .35 whelen pump. Looks to me like if their antlers are about a foot and a half wider than a remington pump then they should be legal:) Good shooting, Weagle

Kurt
Even though I have already told you what I think about this monster in private... thought I would point out that he is real purty for a moose!

Congrats! How many good ones did you turn down again? LOL
art

Congratulations, Kirk, everything else has been said. Really like your rifle, did Art make that stock for you? Appears to have too much pistol grip for standard stock. Great picture of all three, album or mantel for sure, heck, would make the cover on a gun magazine, just send it in. -- no

Stock is factory, just refinished in oil and Decelerator added. I whined to Mel (Old Blue) until he sold me rifle!
Art, we called in 7 bulls one was 15 yards behind me and
sure surprised me! 3 which we thought were above 50"
but not sure 1 which was bigger than mine but 3 brow tines. Camera was Olympus D-510 2.1 megapixel Tim my hunting partner is to be given credit for excelent pic!
