Apaches were a threat to miners in that area. The Superstition wilderness gets close there, not far from the Lost Dutchman mine area, alot of old west history and on the historic Apache trail which is still a dirt road.

Yep, you, Miles and I were camped on that shoreline. You don't see camps in there now, the FS closed that free camping dirt side because the heavy rain 'destroyed it'... I walked through it and it was just like always, tables and restrooms still there, no big washout.

Asked when they were going to reopen, and the FS representative proudly proclaimed... 'never'... and was beaming that they put the chits to the public on our land... couldn't understand my disgust.

My brother's been perch jerkin' on Erie and we're having the moth er of all fish fries on the weekend prior to the Pa. deer opener up in Clearfield County. It's a great time and we have had as many as 40 folks show up. If you're gonna be in the area and interested in attending, let me know.

My Dad and I did a lot of largemouth bass fishing here in Florida. I'd give just about anything to go with him again.
Enjoy these days krp, they will seem so precious in the future.
Glad y'all had a blast, and taught those fish some manners. laugh
