There is a group of guys that load the 35rem hotter on the Marlinowners website.
Since the 35 rem is loaded only at 33,500 psi the theory was to try and load it at 30-30 levels - 42,000 psi.
Neither gun (Marlin 336) nor brass has a problem at this pressure level, as it is still quite low.
200 grain bullets can do 2200 easily, and the 180 grain speer (which I load) can do 2350-2400 fps, which really thump deer. It really becomes a solid 200 yard cartridge.
