Let a friend shoot his deer with my 223 last year so he naturally had to have one. I helped him put this together this fall. Rem 700 CM action IT&D installed Douglas 1:8 twist in Rem mountain contour at 21" Bolt lugs lapped and action face squared Hightech Specialties stock ADL PTG trigger guard I havent really wrung it out but is shoots ok so far.

Nice looking rifle Joel! What loads are you shooting through it so far? Thanks! I've shot 50 grain vmaxs, 75 amaxs, and some 62 TSX but the first scope I had on it went south so we shot it a bunch but didn't get anywhere. I swapped scopes and put ~10 rounds of vmax through it and called it good enough for filling a tag. Now, because of work, he isn't going to have time to chase deer before the season closes. I might have to borrow it...

Love those stocks. Did you do the bedding and finishing on it?? I did all the work on finishing the stock. This is the fourth one I've done now and they get easier each time. I really like them for the price and weight (and wait). I get them at a discount through my gun club so they're not much more than a BC and about half an EDGE but you pay in finish time.

30338: I'm watching my little ones for left eye or hand domanace. And may end up with a mirror like yours!
Darren: I used rustolium stone for the texture and krylon camo for the green. I coated it all with alumahyde II in clear matte so it won't wash off with cleaning solvents.

Nice!!
May be camera angle, but is that the sheep hunter stock? It looks 'short' for a 21" barrel.

And it isn't in my possession anymore. Thanks everybody. It was a fun project and fun to spend someone else's money
