I took photos of all the serial numbers and proofs I could find on the rifle and posted them in the previous messages, I'm not overly familiar with mauser rifles and the proofs they carry as my only previous experience has been a 1941 saur made k98k mix master in military trim I hope these pictures help someone who knows more than I do determine more about this rifle
Thanks
Kevin

Nice little guild rifle.
Is the bore a .318, or a .323?

Y"ea,it looks like a "B" type Trade rifle to me.My LGS has one in the used rack and I'll look it over today since I have to work there today as an RSO.They are cool, slim and trim rifles...

I must ask what is a b type trade rifle? Again another term I'm unfamiliar with, I've also got some sighting issues it is shooting 10" high at 25 yards so it's zero is well beyond 300m from my basic ballistics knowledge of the 8mm Mauser cartridge
