I have a 336 that has driven me crazy trying to get it to shoot consistently. Does anyone know of good reputable 'smith that could do an accuracy job on it? This is an older JM version with the push safety.

There is a gunsmith in New York state that does specialize in the Marlin rifles, I can't remember the shop name.

Hopefully someone else hare the contact info.

J & J Gunshop Unadilla, New York 607-988-9897

Not sure what your rifle's problems are but there are many accuracy modifications you can do your self.
