Kiffin will be next Gators coach. Hoke will be gone tomorrow. Does Nebraska have the money to hire a top tier coach? If so, who is available? Off season always produces coaching carousel spinning.

Its not like he wasn't given a decent chance. He was there 7 years. They need a coach that can recruit. I think the lack of defense finally caught up to him too. The Black-shirts are a joke at this point.

... It's not 1970 anymore. They'll be a draw but the idea that they have the pick of the litter is long gone. I don't know if the schools (and to a degree their fans) have accepted that... "To a degree their fans?!" OK, the understatement of the year award is now locked up. There is no entitlement group so sure of their deservedness as the fans of a college football program that has enjoyed success at some point in the past, be it recent or ever-more-distant.

I think NE and Michigan both have to re-evaluate just where they stand in the scheme of things for college football.
It's not 1970 anymore. They'll be a draw but the idea that they have the pick of the litter is long gone. This..^^^^ Don't know what it takes to make Nebraska happy. They fired Solich after a 10-3 season. Pelini had 10 win seasons in 2009, 2010, and 2012. What are they expecting?

Just saw that flash up on the ESPN screen. Maybe the Gators will luck up and hire him..... no, I don't think Bo is on the list of folks to be considered here.

He broke the record for most wins in the first 7 years as coach at Nebraska. Sometimes you just don't fit in.

Part of the problem, is in the games that matter. Lot of blowout losses in those big games.

Kiffin is not head coach material to me...and never will be. I'd like to see Spurrier go back to Florida and w/the down year they had at S. Carolina he might just take the job. I really don't care what Nebraska does. I didn't like Bobo but the next guy is going to run into the same problems I'm afraid w/recruiting. Florida would be making a bad mistake hiring him...just not a good fit. Hoke is a nice guy at Michigan but that may be his problem, he's too nice. If Florida doesn't hire Spurrier I'd like to see them hire Rich Rodriquez. He may not leave Arizona but I think it would be a good fit.

26-25 against teams who finished with winning records. 40-2 against teams that finished .500 or worse.
That's what Nebraska is looking at when they fired Bo. I understand that. At least they recognized that records, like all stats, are only as good as the data that makes them up.
