These 4 got a ride home today. Shot two others, one had bad mange and couldn't find the other.

That's just a middle age squirrel. The hair is migrating from his head to his ears.

Yes,,, 550's only. Still need to clean, dye, and wax the new ones but I've got plenty of time. Matter of fact, I haven't even done the old ones yet. LOL Some say I procrastinate but I'm not sure about that so I'll have to think about it for a while and get back to you.

Well don't feel too bad.. I've still got a couple dozen Victor #3 4 coils that I haven't cleaned yet.
Next year, I'd like to try some Bridger #3 dogless.. They look pretty skookum.

I've never looked at the #3 Bridgers but I just sold all of my #2's. I might just be to stupid to figure it out but I could never get the dogs adjusted enough to get the pans flat on em. I've heard that changing em out to posi pans fixes the problem but I just sold em and bought 550's that come with posi's.
550's cost a little more but no modifying, laminating, night latching, or changing pans. Hell, I don't even adjust the pan tension. Just clean em and set em.

That's why I love my Montgomery's and Montana's... No dog to mess with. I would really like to try some 550's and 650's as well though. Hung a few more snares in "catty" areas along my main snare line.. Found some fresh tracks, hopefully I'll have him before long. Eating some beans right now, then I'm back out to make more sets.. Nice yote Fireball....
