1600B. Does what they say it will do. I've been impressed with it thus far.

Swarovski here; been good for several years & very good glass in 8X.

Swapped out my 1200 scan for a Bushnell Fusion 1600. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Just got a Vortex Ranger 1000. It's the only one with a lifetime warranty. Leica has great glass, but their warranty sucks. The Leica paperweight on my desk is proof of that.

Nikon Monarch 800. Been working great for over 10 years. I also have an old Bushnell 400 that runs off 9V batts. It's good for bow hunting.

Sold the Monarch 800 and bought a Leica 1000r - huge difference in reliable function. Will routinely read past 1000 and still works as my archery RF with angle adjusting calculation. Probably my favorite hunting tool that doesn't go bang.

I've really enjoyed my Zeiss Victory 8x45 T* Rangefinder binocs that I got from Doug and the gang at Cameraland here on the Fire. I got them at demo pricing, still pretty expensive. But, I use them all the time. To me a ranging binoc is a lot faster than having to use two pieces of equipment.
I had used a Leica 1200 for years, still have it, but it won't range as far as the Zeiss.

Still using my old Leica 1200. Had the 800 first and sold it to my father. He still uses it. We don't really use them much in the field, except when hunting open pasture areas or shooting varmints.
Now with even more aplomb

Really like my Zeiss PRF. Fast readings and good glass in my opinion.

I have never owned one. I will likely change that next year though.

I hate both the Swarovski stand alone range finder and the ranging binoculars. The red LED target is all but impossible to see in bright sun. Utterly useless IMHO.
I guess the LED color preference depends greatly on your intended use. I switched this year from a Nikon 800 (black LED) to a Leica Pinmaster (red LED) and I would say the red LED is the greatest improvement between the two. Most (90%+) of my long range shots and most of my bow shots are taken in the last 30 mins of legal light and the black LED in the Nikon was extremely hard to read. I used to take a reading and then have to quickly raise the unit up to the sky or a light background to read the display before it went away, which was awful when you are in a hurry to get a shot off. I have been very please with the Leica so far. It will range farther than I will shoot a game animal and the optics are good. Very small and fits in one hand or a shirt pocket.

Swarovski 10x Rangefinding Binocs. Work perfect for me - great glass and ranges out to 2000 yards reliably.

Vortex Ranger 1000 and a Leica CRF 1200. Ranging performance is about the same, the Vortex has the angle compensating feature while the Leica doesn't. The Vortex is WAAY less money, has really good glass, and a warranty. Need I say more?
