Without what that flag represents there would be no protesters, just dead bodies.

"It's just a piece of cloth."
Of course it is just like a $100 bill is just a piece of paper. It's far more than that. Whatever No offense intended or taken, Amigo but you've evidently missed my point, and I sure as Hell don't get yours! No offense intended. To me, the $100 is just a piece of currency. It holds no significance to me other than what I can turn $100 into. It's trade fodder, no more and no less. The flag is a symbol of the Constitution, of what this nation is SUPPOSED to be and mean. It is a memorial to all those who fought under it and for it, all those who died trying to reach it, and all those who have been liberated/saved by it. It's a reminder that there are still many out there in harm's way, every day, fighting and dying because of an oath and loyalty. And, it's still more than that. I think you get all that, and the "more" that I mean. I hope you understand why the $100 bill is just and only that. Yep you missed my point.
"Good enough" isn't.
Always take your responsibilities seriously but never yourself.

As I sit here and read these posts, I look over my left shoulder and look at the "piece of cloth" that draped my father's casket. I think abut my oldest son who did 2 deployments as a Captain in the US Air Force, and my nephew, who was in the US Marines and spent time in the Middle East. Thank God neither one came back draped in that "piece of cloth". But, both of them will be entitled to have it draped on on their coffins when it is their time.

America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

You're wrong. It is sadly also their flag. The same flag some of us have bled for. But the black community feel betrayed by their own country. And weary from so many of theirs who wound up dead at a young age, many of them victims of our war on drugs. So we shouldn't have a war on drugs? thats wtf is wrong with this country, thinking like that...
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
