Here is a sad story: I do not own a single Charles May knife. (I appreciate your tears.) This is a situation that should be corrected. Those of you who have had the chance to use May knives can help by telling me your three favorite patterns to come out of Mr. May's shop.
Thanks, RS

skipjack. the only one ya need.... If you need a machete. I'm hip on smaller blades. I like a lot of his patterns. What are you going to use it for? I use his scandi grind Skifa for hard use/work. I have one that has been abused and keeps on going. I think it's the biggest knife I own (aside from a machete). I like his Bob White for a daily carry and birds. I like his Slitter for a skinner and it has enough tip to do fine work as well. I like his BnT II for fish and boning out deer. I got a special order one from him a couple of months ago and I think it may be my favorite yet, Flat Rock Scandi.

This is the custom combo I had Charlie make me using the Buk95 blade and the Holt Collier handle. I asked Charlie to take an 1/8 out of the blade height (from spine to cutting edge) and shorten the blade length to 3 1/2 inches. Used S30V blade steel.

I agree with Huntsman22. I think the skip jack is the most useful. Also a unique knife that you do not see from other makers.

Here's a pic of the Flat Rock Scandi. It's a slimmed down Skifa, 3" blade, 4" handle, slimmer stock (3/32"), and slimmer top to bottom. Both it and the Skifa are a good all-around designs.

I'll have one up for sale very quickly, should anyone be interested.

I believe it's a Scandi grind Bobwhite. I'll get pics and details up tomorrow. I know it's in S30V, with two sheaths (one pocket leather and one necker Kydex), with G10 scales. It's a freakin' razor, too.

Pics (I am NOT a photographer). [img:center] http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/yy204/Forager/IMG_0262_zps95e83d2b.jpg[/img] [img:center] http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/yy204/Forager/IMG_0263_zps38f621e5.jpg[/img] [img:center] http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/yy204/Forager/IMG_0264_zps743c5b48.jpg[/img] [img:center] http://i792.photobucket.com/albums/yy204/Forager/IMG_0266_zpsf202c03e.jpg[/img] Overall length is 6 3/8". Blade is 2 9/16". Blade thickness appears to be 3/32". S30V steel. Everything else, I tried to show in the pics. Yes, it's been used. The pocket sheath has been carried and looks it, but it's not beaten up. The Kydex has left the little "kydex kiss" along the scandi line of the blade, but that's cosmetic and will happen if that sheath is used at all (and it has been). That can be seen in the pic with the knife alone on the scale. I'm thinking $175 is fair?
SPF. PM me with any questions. As to why I'm parting with it? I have WAY too much steel in the house, I use the other steel more often (habit, history), someone really ought to use this great little knife, and I want to put the funds toward a hunt. No other reasons.

What are the scales. I see above you said G10 but the color doesn't come through well on my phone.
