Got to spent a couple of hours riding one this afternoon and WOW nice bike.I only put 20 km's on her but what a smooth machine.Lot's of power rides good and is super comfortable for the rider. Steering is also very light. My bike is a 05 Kawasaki 360 4by4.It's been a good bike so far but lags behind the Bomber in everything accept the 4wd.The Kawasaki has a front diff lock which I wouldn't want to be without in this country.

It's my "Humble" opinion that Bombardier is making the best machine on the market today. And that's not to mention they put the best motor (Rotax) on the market. These motors are used in Ultralights. And their Warranty is the best in the Business at 3 years as compared to 6 months for most others. The 400 engine will run with ANY 500 on the market and either compete easily with it or walk away from it. I am very impressed. The Visco Lock differential is (again my opinion) the best out there. BUT, they are spendy or I would have one right now. I paid $6500 for my Kawasaki 650 Brute force with a 2500 # Warn Winch and they swapped out the tires for the mud tires on my old machine at no charge. So it would be hard to step up another (something like)$3000. the only down side that I can see. However, I think I got a litttle better than the average deal and there are many machines out there that are pushing the price of the Bombardier.

Cariboujack - I agree with your assessment of the Bomber as far as performance, ride, engine, warranty, etc.
I ride with a friend who is a very experienced rider (read - he's a wild man) who has the machine as yours and I have been able to go any place he goes. Admittedly he gets there a little faster and he really likes the extra power of the 650 but at the end of the day we are both setting at the same place. The Visco lock works great, I am always amazed at how it just kicks in and it keeps going.
As far as price - in December I purchased an 06 Bombardeir 400 MAX (two up version), complete with #2500 Warn winch and sales tax paid - out the door for $6950, there are dealers out there who will sharpen their pencil. It is just a matter of catching them and the right time and dealing close to the vest. I live in very rural Idaho the nearest dealer I have is 60 miles and the rest are 150 miles or more so I did the dealing on the phone and ended up with two dealers who would meet that price although I did have to drive 160 miles to pick it up. It was a combination of buying in the off-season and letting them know that I was a serious buyer and if they wanted to make the sell then they had to meet my price.

When I go in for moose or caribou I have quite a bit of gear and pull a trailer, have the bigger mud tires and may go through some pretty deep mud. Power is a good thing. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
