It is very accurate and inexpensive 'Wolk" rifle, therefore, very suitable for an American especially in chambering for which ammo is available at Walmart.

Do all three companies offer an 8 twist in 223 though?

Dakota,

I know that SW has/had .223s. I also know that in the spring that Cabelas only had .270, .30-06 and one other large caliber in their version. I don't know about the BassPro version.

The wind died down this afternoon and the temperature was in the teens so I decided to work with some handloads with the 75 grain Hornaday Amax and 3 different powders. I didn't want to clean the snow off the picnic table so i just cleared the snow off the deck and went prone supported. The good news news for me it looks like Varget is going to work great, the bad news is I have less than a half pound left. On the bright side, Reloader 15 is shooting just about as good, I have a little over pound left and I have actually recently seen it on the shelf at a store for less than $30 a pound. I won't have to touch windage, the target is rotated in the photo.

I need to get one of those "bobsled" dohickies for single feeding and also get a spare magazine and do the Rancho Loco mod for 2.5" COAL on it.

I have this dream where Tikka makes a proper Scout Rifle according to spec and right out of the box it shoots MOA. Perhaps. some day.

Had a 300 win mag once upon a time. For whatever reason I had a custom 300 built on a model 70 action and sent the tikka down the road. Good news is I sold it to a buddy who dropped a nice mule deer at 400-ish yards.

Missed the tikka so much I bought the same rifle in 30-06. Initial indications suggest the gun is a shooter.

Only complaint about tikkas is too much freebore.
