Obama & the Saudis vs Texas & the Dakotas

Squeezing Russia is just a bonus. Obama's target is national.

Until the government controls energy and guns, socialism can't be complete.

Manipulating oil prices is the issue, not an answer.

Of greater significance is the malicious motive aimed at Americans, rather than a real threat.

I thought the motive was Saudi Arabia trying curtail Iran's income by dropping oil prices

Gents--follow the money. Fracking and oil production lifts Texas, and Red States. It has been a significant driver in the US economy

Driving out the innovators is key to control--desired by both Washington & the Saudis.

A protracted price war will damage the state economies that have benefited and those states and the politicians that represent them are a far larger threat to Obama's machine than Iran.

Obama was sure willing to take credit for lower gas prices the other night during his speech. The only ones that believed him were the liberals though. And they didn't really.

For all the wrong reasons...the same guy who touted 4 dollar a gallon gas to provide room for alternates to get a foothold.

He has spent 6 years on an endless campaign to drive liberal agenda. The biggest threat to his "accomplishments" are from the red states, notably Texas, who had the wherewithal to thumb its nose at Washington.

And of course, he hates Putin for his anti-gay stance.

A contrived and protracted oil price war is exactly what the liberals need for 2016. There is nothing more important to a politician as ruthless as Obama and his backers.

Fast and Furious was just a warm-up...

The American consumers having a couple of hundred billion dollars a year to spend on something 'other than' high priced gasoline isn't exactly hurting the state economies.

It also puts a squeeze on the Iranians Nuke program.

Of course it is...or better yet, $4.75 a gallon gas. Next we'll hear how we're actually supporting terrorism by enjoying cheaper gasoline...and how 'un-American' we are for wanting oil to go to $35 a barrel.

I remember paying 80 cents a gallon in the late 90's. How did we ever survive?

Gents, the longer-term effects will be higher oil/gas prices. It was the increasing US production in those states that was serving to bring national oil prices down. Price wars eliminate competition, in this case smaller US producers.

Price wars are the result of competition.

It's monopolies that eliminate competition.

The Saudi's primary concern is Iran. In the face of Iran's aggression throughout the middle east and Tyrant Obama the Liar's enabling of Iran reducing Iran's money supply is the Saudis only option.
