If you are in the mood for mostly alcohol and hops Sierra Nevada Hoptimum will do it without any distracting malt.

I'm more of a stout/porter drinker but I can agree with the Bell's Two-Hearted and the Wind River was surprisingly good.

Favorite? Not sure I've found it, but it'll be tough to beat Sculpin IPA - Ballast Point Brewing Company winner winner

Bells Hopslam and Two Hearted Ale are both as good as it gets.
The Two Hearted is a heavy brew around 7-8 %. Named after a river in da U.P. that comes out of Lake Superior. Good stuff.
The Hopslam will flat out hurt you.....

I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

Harpoon IPA is really good without being over the top.
I've tired of the ones so laden with hops that they leave your palate with the impression you've been chewing for a hour on a big wad of pine sap.

This, ... when I can get it. The only good thing to come out of Minnesota. And one of the few reasons I'll go there. And I live just across the river.....

Agree with Two-Hearted and Ranger. Search shows Hopslam arrived around here in Jan. Have to check that out, as I always like a high ABV IPA.

More of a dopplebock or weizenbock guy here, at almost room temp... Have a Spaten Optimator almost every evening after work, and love Weihenstephaner Korbinian when I can get it - bassturds at the store haven't had any in months. Ayinger Celebrator is great, but too much $$ for more than an occasional treat. But did have a couple of two hearteds when visiting gf's kin in Minnesota that might be my gateway to finally appreciating an ipa. Had previously tried some by my favorite breweries and had to hold my nose to down the stuff After hearing for years that American breweries make schit beer because that's what Americans want, discussions like this give me hope

3 Floyds Brewery and Sun King Brewery in Indi-fuggin-anna, of all places, both make some outstanding beer. Had some Gumball Head from 3 Floyds and it was pretty fricken good. I mostly just drink Sierra Nevada. Ernie
