I am starting this thread so that ltppowell and Ted do not have all the fun...can't let that happen... And because I know that all those who have lost their minds from their popping heads over Sarah will want to join the rest of us in wishing... Happy Birthday, Sarah...
Words from Conservatives4Palin: With her courageous heart, we have seen Sarah Palin defy the odds –from taking on Big Oil on behalf of the citizens of Alaska, to standing up to corruption in her own party in Alaska, to ultimately sacrificing her position as Governor, serving the state she loves.
As Chuck Heath, Jr. tells it in his book, Our Sarah, –co-written with his father, Chuck Heath, Sr.—when advisor Meghan Stapleton told her: "If you resign, the publisher may withdraw that deal. You won’t be governor, and you won’t be a candidate and they could say, ‘We don’t want to do it.’ You could lose everything.” Sarah replied, ‘If it costs me everything, then that’s the way it will be.’ She was determined to return the governor’s office to executing its constitutional responsibilities, even if that decision had devastating personal consequences for her.”
Gov. Palin’s Dad, Chuck, also noted his daughter’s big heart during the bus tour for Going Rogue. They stopped in Virginia, where they met O.P. Ditch, a retired veteran from the US Air Force. “’When she talked to you, she looked you right in the eye and actually listened. It almost looked like it went right to her heart.’ She did take those conversations to heart and listened intently to hear what people had to say.”
The book she wrote after that would be aptly named America by Heart. As Gov. Palin noted in the book: “This is my America, from my heart, and by my heart.”
That’s why when McCain staffers tried to script and micromanage her every sentence in 2008, Gov. Palin had to “go rogue” and speak from the heart. From his book, Our Sarah, her brother, Chuck observes: “Very quickly, she noticed that when she tossed aside the prepared remarks and spoke about the topics from her heart, the message resonated with the public.”
Aside from her accomplishments in public office, Gov. Palin continues to astound (and confound) people as she campaigns and endorses commonsense, Constitutional, fiscal conservative candidates across the nation, who ultimately go on to victory and cite her as part of the reason for their victory.
When you add to that her youthful and energetic physique, the fact that she is happily married, a Mother of five, a Grandmother (with a great head of hair), a public servant and entrepreneur, she is formidable.

...to ultimately sacrificing her position as Governor,... laffin' That's a 'creative' use of the English language to describe her quitting...! As good as "that depends on what you think the meaning of the word 'is' is."
Every day on this side of the ground is a win.

Every candidate should have a great head of hair, that's important.

I think Bowsinger and OkOk should see if they can get a group rate on working through their infatuation with over rated losing teams....

When sarah "took on" big oil, wasn't she in effect raising their taxes to redistribute wealth?

Regardless she is a far better choice than what we have in office now. Hell McLame would be marginally better.

Regardless she is a far better choice than what we have in office now. Hell McLame would be marginally better. Republicans need to keep the primaries from being a rerun of the 2012 gong show. Sarah isn't going to run, so she's just a distraction at this point. The Democratic primary is going to be a bloodbath, with everyone attacking hitlery from the git go. As soon as she's shredded and tossed to the side, they'll go after each other. Republicans have a great opportunity, they can't blow it. Either way, in this atmosphere, I'm betting a one term president gets elected.

And when she gave every man, woman and infant an "energy subsidy" whilst governor, in the form of cash from the State coffers, that was far from fiscally conservative. She is an idiot wrapped in a MILF package. Which explains all the *fap fap fap* sounds you hear in the background as the intellectually abbreviated types sing her praises.
