Dave, Gold Medal weekend. I can only think of 1-2 things to improve it and they aren't wife or kid friendly anyway....grin

Sam, the working plan is to my wife, and I to be passing by with in a couple hours of Dave's lake in a couple of weeks.

Methinks, I'll be swinging a hammer moreso than fish from a lake, but, (wink)?

I waiting with baited breath for more Sir Dave's update.

The Good Lord willing, I'll keep the "fire" up to speed if, and when, the Wabigoon travailing circus takes it's act on the road.

I've gone from thinking you had bad cabin fever to a state of stone jealousy ...

That is the coolest ice house I've ever seen! I want to see your hunting blind!

Glow sticks or glow lights, my brother. Like Kevin Costner said, build it and they will come.

I can send you a couple, if you want. FYI, green is mean..

Nice fish fry Dave. We ate a lot of hybrid Saugeyes growing up, they taste just like a walleye and probably like a sauger, though I've never eaten one of them. Walleye filets have my mouth watering, and we had fried Northerns with homemade onion rings and fried pickles last night.

do you use chum/bait, to attract the fish to your area.

I bet it's canned corn.

NO the chum most people I know use is canned peas

When the fish come up to take a pee ya spear them or hit them over the head

Yankee fish have enough sense to sleep at night. Something about hanging with drunks someone once told me.... smile

I have to say I'd like to try lights for shee fish thru the ice. Daylight seems to play a strong roll in their biting. Too near dawn or dark and .... No bite happens.

The wife is gonna cry when I show her the video. The Weasel is 6 years gone and we still look for him , but the Arctic and our current circumstances isn't a place for a Doxie. There's one a coming down the ways a piece, tho.
