Looks like a person could get drifted in out there if they were not paying attention. It looks cold.

Its about -5. I think we may see teens above zero if not 20 today though, that would be nice.

Dave, what is the internet service on the lake?

As nice a time as you seem to be having, "Getting away from it all", does not appear to apply.

No pictures of the setup but I have a Verizon Modom with a designated line for internet services for when I'm not at home. It's safer than using WiFi provided by motels and businesses when traveling. It works well for me.

I always wanted to ice fish. was gonna go about 3 years ago but it was an 18 hour drive and I didn't have a full week of vacation time left. I guess I will haveto just enjoy your pics and hope for a trip at a later date. I have tiny spoons and jigs but I will have to buy a couple of rods and learn how to use a velexar thingy.

Is a Pike of the North a Jack of The South?

Maybe a pickerel of the South.

Not to rain on ND's thread but........
I was on the same lake over the weekend. I was about 8 or so miles from him as the crow flies. ND's house is a little fancier than mine but as long as a person has somewhere to stay warm & spend the weekend.
I forgot mustard and we had to leave early as ketchup just won't cut it.
Catching was slow for us but the bear cub caught his first fish. I set the hook then he reeled it in.

Let me see if I can load some pics.

Yes I'm still wearing my pajama pants. I put them on after drilling the holes in 40" of ice & took them off before I packed up to go home. It's a rough life on the frozen water....
