3 out seat closer to lands.
2 in 1 out seat bullet further from lands.
Do you wait 10 minutes between shots when your shooting at game. I'd take Steelheads recomendation and just shoot the damn thing.
Let us know how it works out.

The question is "why"? Why / how does it work? And why does every BR guy I know kiss the lands?
Runout has my attention as of late. That's the one constant with the BR gang and they spend major dollars on dies.
The shorter COAL worked in my 260. Like .084 off the lands. Could runout be thwarted with a jump?
Maybe its one of those things where you just shut up and shoot when things start looking right.

Yesterday my cool down time was at least 10 minutes between shots Why? Talking with a couple guys had the kids shooting 22 ' s also I'm not going to spend 10 minutes on the phone with a friend contemplating suicide, so I sure as hell ain't spending that much time between shots. Seat it deeper and see what happens. I'm also assuming you don't have a chronograph. I'd go with the 4350 over 4064.

Steelhead offering good overall advice. Seat deeper...use 4350...only change one thing at a time.
As to WHY it's doing what it's doing...only the shooting gods truly know for sure...all you can do is tinker and find out wht you can find out...if you're searching for one hole akkercy...be prepared to be befuddled more often than not as to the WHY any particular rifle does what it does.

Maybe its one of those things where you just shut up and shoot when things start looking right. BR shooters load to lands because they are not interested in maximum hunting loads, just accuracy. If you load to lands and you rifle shoots well, you need to confirm your magazine can house and feed at that length. Many won't.
When truth is ignored, it does not change an untruth from remaining a lie.

I'm getting ready to order a chrono I thought maybe it could have been me so I took my tikka 7mm-08 today loaded with 120 NBT and RL15 shot a 3 shot 1 hole basically next group just slightly bigger almost a one holer. But I will try loading some deeper. I appreciate all the advice so far. This remington has been kinda troublesome

Might wanna check out the 1:8 223. 4th shot out of a brand new rig is on the left. Little windage nudge, then 5, 6, and 7 on the right. Factory (mag length) Hornday 75 HPBT. I can live with .4's

If one finds a length that works, stick with it and forget about magazine length. Tons of guns and I run most of them in single shot mode anyway.
With accuracy, the first one usually does the job.

Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Had a Browning in 7mm08 that did the same. Showed the targets to a guy i was working with. He said knowing me i would never be happy with it. Said if i threw in the dies he would give me what i paid for the rifle and scope. Sold it to him that evening. That fixed the problem.

Ok so gonna give a update I have tried 3 different bullets the last I tried 165 Sierra boat tail spitzer. Seated 10 off the lands from the ogive. Rem brass wlr primer and imr 4350 started at 55 the 55.5 then 56. Speed was normal. Accuracy was actually good right under a inch on all 3 charges. But at 56 it started flattening the primers and i know primers are not the best way to go about pressure signs. So just for fun I took 3 cases to local LGS and asked some of those guys that been loading for a long time. Do these primers look flat they said that is warm. So I said that it is 1 grain below max still. So my question is. Is the chamber to small or to large that is causing this. This gun is about to drive me crazy.

Oh and the guy at the store said I wouldn't go any hotter on the load and it may get real hot in the summer. So who knows. Anyone ever run into this.
