There's a silver lining. I found out last September that the building I have been leasing for my business was up for sale. One of my customers that is on the local city council gave me the heads up, as he is on the planning and zoning board. (Never a word from the owner of the building, of course, until the deal was done  ). I guess he didn't want to risk losing any rent. Started my search for a new home for my business and soon found out that there were no suitably zoned buildings in my immediate vicinity. Sooo, I've decided to build my own. Wrenching only or body work too? Offices on the 1st floor, parts mezzanine on the 2nd floor. Single bay door at the back with 10 bays and an indoor wash bay. Everything but bodywork.

Well, we broke ground today  Unbelievable the amount of red tape, attorney fees and general bullcrap that had to be dealt with just to get to this point. Hopefully things will run a little more smoothly from here..... Congrats! After buying dirt and having a house built last year, I can't imagine the hassles in building a commercial building.
