or did you mean the slide? those can be some nice pistols. if the hole is in the slide a good welder can fill it and a refinish can be done. the price on those argie's has taken off in the last few.
got pics?

I ordered all the parts and have about $175 in it. Ever wondered what a 112 year old rifle's internals look like if it has never been thoroughly cleaned? Surprisingly the bore looks like new.

Maybe in more ways than one! I might try some brake cleaner, outdoors away from pilot lights and electric floor heaters.

I too would like to see a picture when it has been fixed back !

I thought it was a '90......... I couldn't tell from the picture if the barrel is round or octagon.

And they were used in shooting galleries when I was a kid.

I would contact Dennis Olson in Plains, MT. He can restore that gun to any configuration you would want. Restoration is a whole different concept than refinish, and Dennis is capable of a total restoration. He can be contacted at (406)826-3790.

I can show examples of his work if you need to see it.

I finished the rifle. I wish it was blue, but the Cerakote didn't cost me anything. I spent $228 on parts. It's not perfect, but it's back in use and my Brother is very happy with it. Crimping the follower into the inner tube was trying.

Nice work, Kend. Your brother should be glad that you have talent.

Ken - as noted by several here, the buttstock issue is quite solveable. If you would like some assistance, please let me know. Would be honored to help.

My deceased Brothers son buggered it up. Another Bro got it from him and brought it to me.

Nicely done, Sir. It should be good for a few more generations now.

I have a M-1906 that was given to me as a teenager by an elderly gentleman that I did yard work for. I eventually fixed it up and had the barrel relined. It shoots as good as new now.

I will always have a soft spot for old, pump-action .22s.
