Keith...that wouldn't be sporting at all!

You got to call them in during their mating season, then ground sluice them with a shotgun....they're wary you know. grin

my oldest took this tom with his crossbow,

couple hours later he (the tom) was deep fried turkey fingers.

Take and cut the breasts in to strips or chunks. Soak in marinade of Teriyaki sauce, Negra Modelo beer for about an hour. Then take some tortilla chips and crush them up. Mix chips with a package of Pioneer peppered gravy mix, garlic powder, black pepper, Tony Chacherie's Dredge the marinaded turkey strips in the chips/gravy mix and deep fry in hot oil. Add an ear of corn and a baked potato and it's good enough to make ya' want to slap yo' daddy down.

Makes darn good jerky and the base for Turkey leg soup.

You guys have some nice looking rifles. Almost makes me want to replace the old standby, my Rem 660.

Remington Mod 7 W/ 18" .222 from factory. Wore out the factory barrel near White River S.D. whackin' Prairie Dogs.
Replaced with 20" Hart Med. Hvy .222 SS barrel, Timney Trigger, free floated and pillar bedding.
Got one with that barrel at 556 yards, and a heck of a lot more that were closer !!

Scope is a 4.5/14 Leupold with a Premier Reticles Ltd. custom made reticle.

Drop table showing which dot to use for drop (Clicks up or windage on chart are 3 min. ea. instead of "Clicking" in drop)

The drop table is laminated right into the top of the shooting bench (along with 2 others) to keep the S.D. wind from blowing them away..

Absolutely!!!!! The best of both worlds.
If I were ever to build another 17 it would be a 17/222.
