For the chores you mentioned the .243 shines and the .260 will also if you must have more.

Everyone complains about the plastic stocks on most factory rifles. The reality is that they perform great in the field. They don't feel or look as good as either good wood or a McM, but they will hunt like crazy. I can tell you from experience they don't melt in the heat or crack in the cold. And they don't swell, shrink, loosen or change poi in my years of experience. If you have a low tolerance for ugly and desire excellent fit and finish, you are looking at the wrong rifles anyway. I would tend to run the factory stock unless it failed in some way.

I dang sure would not change this scope either. Spend the $ on scouting money or a lease membership. That scope will get it done for the rest of your life. And if you run over it Leupold will fix it.

I have a Tikka Lite in 270 that wears a B&C. I like it.

I also have a T3 Hunter in 260 wearing a factory plastic stock that I sanded all the Euro-crap look off of then hydro-dipped.

Both are very accurate. As accurate as some of my more expensive customs.
