any suggestions on a utility box for a singlr cab toyota tacoma 2004 model? Local store here has the dual flip top tool box and a one lid utility box-but the box is about $265 out the door...I am looking for a cheaper alternative.

Plywood and 2x4? I dunno - never looked at one as I need all the box length I can get (pun there).

I would suggest looking at the local farm or feed stores - I see work boxes there sometimes - often cheaper than the "toys for trucks" store. They may be able to order you one for a Taco.
