smokepole Campfire 'Bwana S Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 46,339 Likes: 19 Colorado	I had a 2008 Sierra 1500 with a 5 Liter. Transmission went out at 48K miles, luckily still under warranty. Started burning oil at around 70K miles, I traded it in. A wise man is frequently humbled.

jbmi Campfire Regular J Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 2,894 Likes: 2 MID WEST	I had an 08 GMC 3/4 ton with the 6.0 Votex, pulled my camper very well but averaged 8mpg, not pulling anything I got around 13mpg. Rode rough when empty. Traded it in, in 2012 for a new Ford Expedition with their 5.4 V8, now I get 10mpg towing and 19 on the highway, with a much better ride. The GMC was a good truck, just could not afford to feed it. "The older I get, the better I was"
