Was that $3950. for both the axis deer and the black buck? If so, I'm definitely going to start saving some dollars. Both really beautiful animals and I know I'll never make it to Africa for a hunt...Texas, no problemo!

I wish. No, that was for the Axis hunt. It was fantastic. The animals are spooky as well. You basically have to glass from several hundred yards away and stalk. If you are within 150 yards even in a truck they are running like hell. No feeders running on the ranch. It was a challenge and I'm definitely glad I decided to do it. I'm used to sitting in a box so spot and stalk was a lot of fun.

Thanks for all the kind words. I booked a West Texas mule deer hunt with the same outfitter in December.

Your mount turned out fantastic! Congrats again on a fine trophy. Those Axis make a beautiful wall pedestal mount. Their heads always look small compared to the size of their necks. Well done sir, Elk
