May he RIP,

Seems to me he was a very successful father!

It is obvious he did well with you and your family.

My deepest sympathies.

Thanks guys. We ate lucky enough to be able to spend his last days sitting next to him. Stories, hug, and tears are in good supply. When I think I can't handle it, all I have to do is think of how he would handle it, because he always gave me the right answer. How are fathers so wise?

Sounds like your Dad did a terrific job raising his son. I am very sorry for the pain and sorrow you are going through now. You have lots of good times with him to remember, you have been blessed.

You are fortunate to have a father like him. Prayers for comforting of family and friends. He will see again and what he sees will be beautiful beyond words.

Yep, always ask yourself - WWDD? And, you'll likely have the right path to follow.

And, even if you don't think you can follow in those footsteps, I'm betting the gait is closer than you think. wink

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like your dad led a good, full life and left behind people who love and respect him. Can't ask for too much more than that when it is all over. Al

sprint11,

I am very sorry for the loss of your Father and Best Friend.

Just a little note,

It is not your duty to fill your Fathers' shoes, nor is it your place to be your Father. Rather it should be your distinct pride filled pleasure to represent all the good that your Father accomplished while he was here on this earth. There is no better way to honour him.

Lost my Dad not long ago and as long as you remember him he will always be with you.

Seems i talk to mine more and more as thing pop up.
The only regret i have is i was not at his bed side before he passed.

The hurt will lessen over time but it still will hurt.
Prayers sent.
