I just ordered a Meopta Optika5 for as a replacement for an old Redfield on my Dad's rifle.
I hope you'll let us know what you think of the optic and maybe post a photo or two. I think you'll be delighted with your selection. $ for $ I think Meopta is a tremendous value.
Meopta's as a whole,are steaming pieces of fhuqking schit,as scopes go. Hint.

Of course,I buy them with my own money and actually fhuqking shoot,which VERY much sways tail wagging endorsements. Hint.

I'm very happy with the Meopta optics I have. I use the S2 spotter more than my Swaro now. For the money the glass is excellent, solid clicks, and has all the features. Then again, I'm not throwing my rifles to test durability.

Can you measure the mounting surface on the GPO Spectra 6x 2-12x44i?

I need a little more mounting length than the NF SHV 3-10 at 5.1" and really want to try the Spectra 6x illuminated.

Well...I ordered (4) and was just now looking through Emails for confirmation and nothing there. Then logged into my C/L Account and of course nothing there either. Logged into my Bank Account and funds were withdrawn 11/12/22. Hint.

Not sure how they ship to Alaska, guessing USPS? They ship UPS to me, I am subscribed to UPS and get emails whenever something is coming to the house. Doug shipped my Swaro Z5 same day I called, UPS says it will be here tomorrow. I suspect the shipping company, not Doug et al. But way to call out a good sponsor of this website you so freely use...

While I'm happy to treat folks fair,I'm not hip on being schit upon. This is akin to my talking my boss into Sig Kilo3's offa CL's Used/Demo List and when received,they were fhuqked up and CL broke it off in his ass. To Sig's credit,they replaced same happily,but nothing was CL warm or fhuqking fuzzy. Reminds me of my CL Geovid Rodeo and none of that was warm or fuzzy. Hint.

I bought a kowa tsn553 from Doug. Great price, much obliged....

However, never received a confirmation email of the order, with tracking as per the norm in this day and age.

Had to reach out and confirm it was shipped w/tracking.

Not bashing Doug, received the spotter, his price was good, etc..

But, in this day and age of ordering schhiit from scamazon and getting up to second status, includincluding confirmed ordering and driver status, including stall #2 visits, it might behoove Doug to get his system in a better state of operation to at least confirm order complete with tracking.

He doesn't have to include employees stall status....

Just say'n.

I have ordered from Doug several times and can't recall any lack of communication on tracking. In fact, if my memory serves me correctly, I got immediate tracking info.

Liar? Wow I guess you know more than since you were there? When the Optika6 first came out I placed an order and paid over the phone with card. Never received tracking info for a scope that was "in stock". Called, got some bullshit how they'd sold out just before my order and new stock was arriving any day. Two weeks later with no communication, I was able to cancel may order only after pulling teeth. Like it or not but it's 100% truth.

I see you are a new member and this is your 1st post. Welcome to the 'fire. I am sorry you feel this way. We are not perfect, however, we do try our best to give quality customer service. There are glitches occasionally and when that happens we do try to make things right. We are always available to you to answer questions whether on the phone, PM's or e-mails and we are glad to assist with manufacturers on any product questions or issues whether you bought your optic through or or elsewhere.

Paul, was my expectation also. Just some customer feedback, not meant as a dig. My first day working for IBM, one of the more senior engineers is was working with told me something that stuck with me all these years later....the worst problems are problems that are not known about...

None the less, schhiit happens.

I'll be buying more from C/L.

I suppose you're right, I did do that. But that was to only corroborate that I too have experienced similar CS from C/L that another here has whom you call bs on. Just sharing my experience as well to inform those in our community that it doesn't appear to isolated to one random individual. And I'm being honest in my first post that it is a shame because C/L does have good prices and seemingly large selection. But once bitten twice shy for me. YMMV
I have had 4 different orders with CL.

An inexpensive Athlon Spotting Scope, a Burris Droptine, an Optika 5 and a Burris XTR3. I distinctly remember getting an immediate shipping notice on one of them. Neal and I were BSing and he said that he could get it shipped out that very day, but would have to hurry as he only had 10 minutes to get it done. I had shipping notice immediately.
Wow, I never had any bad experience with Cameraland. Multiple scope purchases, including some high $ orders and everything goes smoothly! I have ordered both online and over the phone. I always had tracking information quickly too.

It's not like you are dealing with an SWFA or an Optics Planet when you deal with CL. CL has shown that they are to be trusted absolutely.

In addition to all you have said...when you call them, they take the time to actually "talk" to you. Answer any and all question. And do not make you feel as though they have better things to do.

LOL. BBB is a joke. Have lots of great transactions with CL and a couple that wasn't. Neil told me they were OOS on said scope and while a little bitter about being charged up front, I know CL will come through.
