Anyone had covid a second time? If so, how long after the first time was it?

Wife, myself, and two youngest had it in November. Wife and I are feeling rough this morning..... I was thinking sinus stuff from allergies when I went to bed last night but she's feeling it this morning.

Not really worried about it if it's no worse than last time but I have got stuff I need to get done and don't want to deal with being locked-down.....
How would you know? Sniffles are sniffles. Tests for a coronavirus could pop positive for any coronavirus and we wouldn't know any better.
I read immunity of 5 months, but nobody knows yet definitively...
Studies so far show immunity for 8 months which is as long as they have been able to study. Reasonable assumption is that immunity will last years but only time will tell.
Percentage wise nobody hardly gets it once much less twice. No luck at all. Hope all goes well.
I know a lady that had it twice she had it in June and November of last year.
:How would anyone truly know they had covid twice given the testing proto call. My understanding is the testing confirms your body is reacting to a covid like virus and not precisely THE covid virus. But then lets not let the actual data stop our fear.
They just started a study in the UK to purposely expose prior covid patients to test reinfection rates...
Unless they have fevers, could just be a ‘common cold’ or bad allergies.

We are covered in yellow pollen crap from seemingly every species of hardwood tree right now in my area.

There is no immunity, cure, or vaccination for a cold virus. Not even with Fauci-Gates-Trump fast tracking.

Just a fact boyz

Just call it a second positive test and associated symptoms.

We're within a couple of days of 5 months right now. I'm sure it could be more or less time depending on someone's immune system.

We're both around tons of people everyday and have kids in school so there's plenty of opportunity. Not really worried about it, just don't want to cancel a few things...but I also don't want to pass it on to someone like my parents again, I am worried about that.
My niece had it last September and now again this month.
As long as there is no cytokine response, just roll with it
If you have been vaccinated, its just the start of a slow roll until you're death.

Come on man....speak American...
I had it January of 2020 (didn't know it at the time but it was rough) according to my internist who had me double tested for antibodies in March. The thing that really gave it away though was me complaining (in January 2020) that I could not taste or smell anything. Was sick for about ten days.

I'm in my mid 60s.

Had it a second time in late July 2020 and that one almost got me. The fever was not as prolonged or as severe (still hit 102.5 but for not as many consecutive days) but the respiratory issues were a bitch. I still believe, and so does my wife, that had my internist not prescribed me (via teledoc) the HCQ and antibiotics I would have been in real trouble. I was probably 24-48 hours from being hospitalized.

I am an active, in shape, 60+ year old male living on a farm ... farming, chopping wood, riding horses, shooting,, reloading, fishing, working at the lake house, doing chores, going to the gym stuff ... and that second time put a hurtin' on me. It made me regroup and reassess things.

Took me a couple of months to fully regain my taste and smell senses after that second bout.

I have, so far at least, refused to get the vaccine and I will continue to do-so for awhile ... until I am comfortable that it is safe and effective.
Swine flu it was
The dr was surprised how hard it hit me. I had all the covid symptoms, fever, chills, loss of taste, pneumonia. I'm 49 and in shape, but I do have asthma. I did it all...zinc, D3, C, Ivermectin, Lysine.... still nailed me.
Sounds rough, yikes.

My whole immediate family is O positive; we've been spared any infections of COVID. We are pro vaccine at our house as well and my 17 year old will get her second shot next week, finishing the regimen for all of us.
Why would you ask this question on this site? Is it for answers or entertainment?

That’s the post of the day.

Answers like SCRooster, BKinSD, Lucas1, etc.... Quick way to ask a large number of people at once, a lot of whom have common sense.

With this many folks entertainment is always part of it....a lot of which is funny common sense.....then of course there's folks like you.
Deflave had it five times and died from it twice, what is his astute position ?
You cant get a Covid answer on the WWW search that is not filtered by the CDC, is why I would like to hear other responses. I relented and took both shots of Moderna then got the Covid 3 weeks after the 2nd shot. By agreeing to be tested and tested positive was called constantly by people who I did non know all over the US. Have not caught the virus a second time and will keep quiet if I do. Pneumonia which I had several times in the past was far worse than the Covid for me. If I had a do over would not have taken the shots, have a lot of issues now I never had before the shots.

T-cell immunity should be long lasting.

The presence of anti-bodies is not exclusive of immunity.

Honestly?
Everybody you know has had COVID more than once.

The odds of getting COVID-19 twice are slim to none.
Matter of fact, the OP has probably never had COVID-19.

I bet COVID is child’s play for a guy that stares AIDS in the eyes three times a day.

LOL

Yeah you can't trust that SOB.

He did test positive though.....as did the rest of his family except for the oldest who'd had it a couple of months earlier.....

You likely tested positive for COVID.

Not COVID-19.

That's something I failed to mention.

I've been a bit of a vitamin-health nut almost my entire life ... since reading Earl Mindell's Vitamin Bible in the early 80s. I've religiously taken at least a good multi vit, usually supplemented with extra C, D³ and Zinc, for nearly 40 years.

I'm convinced that regime helped me to recover both times. Historically I have been above average healthy rarely getting colds and flu even ... until I turned 60 I never once had a flu shot. I had shots, tons of them, in the Army of course ... mandated before all deployments, but that was it.

I like good bourbon and sometimes cigars and sometimes I eat too much good food ... and I like the patooty, especially my (much younger) wife's for some reason, but those are my only real vices. Well ... milf porn sometimes maybe, I can't remember.

Below is copied from the test results they provided to me.

SARS-COV-2 POSITIVE
Note: SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes COVID-19. Analysis performed using a Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT).
Purely anecdotal, but got it in late January, not awful, just felt hung over bad for three days. About ten days ago, I had a one day episode I wondered if wasn’t a reinfection, as the symptoms were identical (but less severe). Found out yesterday one of my employees family has been out with it for 10 days. So may well have been a minor reinfection with some other strain. Or not, lol.
The real question is,

Has Anyone actually had COVID for the First Time?
Multiple managers where I work have tested positive more than once. The latest a female manager who tested positive 3 times now.

Dont know what to make of it. All these were rapid tests.
Covid 19 does not exist unless you believe every word from the MSM and the dumbazz liberals.
That's right. We let the USA take it up the azz without lube over a fugking cold virus.

Why did Trump allow this scam and why does he still promote The Vaccine?

Yes I know what the little papers say.
Its so deadly you can survive it twice.
Buddies wife has had it 2 times (tested) over a year. This second time shortly following getting the vaccine. No symptoms.
Damn Jay, hope it’s just the run of the mill seasonal cold at worst. Im still dealing with my bout of covid and it’s been nearly 6 weeks now
My aunt completed her Pfizer vaccine protocol in the 1st wk of Feb then tested positive for CV-19 and spent a couple days in the hospital last week.

I've also read 8 months and years. Why would my body forget and stop being immune? My body hasn't forgotten the mumps, measles or chickenpox

There are more than few cases of fully vaccinated folks getting the Rona. It's not 100% effective.
A guy at work had it around November, got the vaccines (both doses) about a month ago and is out with it again.
He had to get tested both times due to close contact but never had more than a headache and a little achy.
Hes 27

Same reason your body doesn't retain immunity to influenza I guess...

Trump's weakness is that he's not ideological. For whatever dam reason, he can't easily spot liberals and liberalism. It's like his Achilles Heal.

The biggest mistake Trump made was letting Fauci out of the basement and giving him a podium. Over a year later and we're still dealing with it.

I mean fuq... this very thread is chalk full of boomers dragging their snatches across the carpet complaining about how they got da covid... woes me, da covid is serious, on and on and on. It never ends... they can get and survive this chit numerous times and they're scared chitless of it.
Not all tests are accurate. 50% at last count. There have been no confirmed cases of any person "getting it twice".

Stop and think about that for a second.
Real scientists, with a scanning electron microscope, examined 1500 samples that were "positive tests" for covid-19.

None of em had any covid-19 in em.

Test was a fraud from the start, on purpose.

In it together, exponential, efficacy, frontlines.

I had it in November as well. Last week I lost my taste and smell (had only lost my smell previously) and felt down for 2.5 days.

I was tired, low fever, and stuffy. Pretty much a milder case of the mild sickness that was covid last November.

I just want to taste messican food again!

Why would a 17yo need it? Honest question, since emotion played a huge part in the decision since science obviously couldn’t have.

I've got something. At this point that's all my diagnosis will be as I'm not getting tested again....unless things get bad and I have to go somewhere for treatment and testing is required. Mine was pretty mild last time except for a little less than 24 hrs with fever/aches.

I'll do the common sense thing and avoid people for a while.

There is a detailed survey they give when you get the shot. They ask if you have had COVID, and when. It must be a concern to the doctors.

I see this fugking clown is still going around telling his bullschit stories.

LOL
Maybe it depends on who you hang out with, as to how many times you catch it, or one of it's variations.

"How long does immunity from influenza vaccine last? Protection from influenza vaccine is thought to persist for at least 6 months. Protection declines over time because of waning antibody levels and because of changes in circulating influenza viruses from year to year." ... the influenza virus is constantly mutating, just like covid.
Virus = 99.7% survival rate for people who get it. Can not isolate covid 19 in the lab to collect 1 million dollars bounty. Covid 19 positive swabs analyzed and influenza A & B found but no covid 19. Influenza A & B are deadly if not treated. HCQ, Azithromycin, Ivermectin, vitamin D, and zinc can be used as treatment. No need to be in hospital. Vaccine is not a real vaccine, it is GMO for your immune system. After vaccine you need a second dose, still need mask, still need to space out 6 ft, can still catch covid, still should not travel, and can still infect other people.

Do what you feel is best.
