Cenk Uygur is just about the most "progressive" guy alive, but he can't stay on the air tonight from LA.

Here's why:
"We're off the air right now because the power went out in LA, as it does all the time. Eric Garcetti is the worst mayor of all time. He hasn't bothered to do his job in years. The Democrats running LA are the most incompetent people on the planet."

Go on and take the red pill, Cenk. You'll feel better in the morning.

John Ralston reports from Nevada:

Democratic turnout in Clark is now 45 percent. GOP turnout is 56 percent. That makes zero logical sense, folks. This is either a collapse of the Democratic turnout operation or there is a lot of mail out there. Which is more logical?

And:

The Republicans always have a turnout advantage on Election Day, but this kind of double-digit differential in the Dem stronghold would be unprecedented. Doesn't mean the mail will save all of them, but there has to be a lot of mail out there. If not, it's a D cataclysm.

Stand by. It won't be too much longer before we know.

Today's Big Question: We've been at this local/state/national election thing longer than any other country in the world, so how come we keep getting worse at it?

Today's Short Answer: Because the Powers That Be prefer it that way.

Tarnish elections badly enough, and people will become willing to accept something else.

A real quote from Donald Trump about tonight’s results:

"Well, I think if they win, I should get all the credit. If they lose, I should not be blamed at all."

CBSEveningNews on New Hampshire "...the race between Senator Maggie Hassan and ELECTION DENIER Donald Bolduc..."

Why do people HATE THE MEDIA?

Exhibit A right there. Now they're going after OZ for "not having lived in the state long enough to serve effectively" Exhibit B right there
Posted By: Geno67 Re: Judgement Day - 11/09/22
From Big Data's Rich Baris:

Only 5% of swing voters in New Hampshire think the country is headed in the right direction, while 80% think it's off on the wrong track. 18% have a favorable view of Biden, only 3% "very favorable".

No negative incumbent survives numbers like that.

This is usually the time of election night that I start getting jittery. Tonight is so far, so good - maybe it's the rum?

I do not like lyres and cheats and I will do what it takes to get rid of them.

I told this Realtor If they ever come on my property. I would Consider that as a direct threat to my family and my self.
They called the Sheriff on me.
The Sheriff sided with me.

I was a Lead Inspector on a Large Hospital project here in So. Commyfornia.
The Local 12 Union boys were taking Pics. of my Guys and their license plates
Then they were going and picketing their personal homes. This is Illegal in Commyfornia.
So I started taking pics of their license plates and they got pissed and asked why I was taking pics of their cars.
I told them that I was going to hand the pics out to all of my neighbors and if they came and picketed my home I would consider that a threat to my family and my self and I would shoot and kill them.
They called the Police on me and we had a short conversation with the police were they accused me of threatening them.
I told the Local Police what i had told them and the Police sided with me and told the Union boys about 15 of them that they were warned and I had the Police as witlessness to that warning.
Earlier on that project I had a Union Rep harassing my Pipe Fitters that I was inspecting. Demanding to know who their Inspector was. I chased that rep all the way up to the Gen con's offices at a dead run and they told the Rep to never come back on the job site.

I have a Major attitude when it comes to people pushing my friends around and some day it will catch up to me.

Pretty sad that Budd is barely beating Beasley when to Democrats are currently in such failure. A sign of things to come, I’m afraid. Communist liberals pour into our state every day. They are disgusting and I resent them.

That we are. I was military for the first ten years then every position on a land survey crew then office. Delivered pizzas for 16 months in addition to my 50 hour job to save for a backhoe, then kept it busy on the weekkends and nights, bought a tracked loader and a dump truck, then outfitted a couple of masonry crews. I owned 6 very small companies before we retired at 41. Got bored with retirement, went back to school on scholarships, earned a slough of degrees and now I build 3d models of the as-constructed utilities for google, facebook and microsoft data centers. One of those weird jobs where I can do my work from anywhere in the world any time day or night. Mrs. Geno is currently earning her doctorate from FSU and is going to be a crusty old college professor.

Lesson: Don't sit out the culture wars.

GA should not be this tough. PA should have been a cakewalk. NH was winnable with a more NH-friendly candidate -- yes, probably someone squishier than we'd like. But still, control of the Senate is control of the Senate.

Republican state Sen. Jen Kiggans will defeat Democratic Rep. Elaine Luria in Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District, CNN projects, a big win for Republicans as they vie to take back control of the House. That makes Luria the 4th member of the Sham J6 Committee to not be able to return to Congress. Kinzinger didn't run rather than face certain defeat, Cheney was humiliated in her WY primary, and Stephanie Murphy of Florida, once considered a rising star, declined to even run.

Our area has good water as well
I got kinda screwed where I had my well drilled at aprox. 320 ft down I got 15 gal. per minute.
I got greedy and had them drill down deeper and at 427 ft had them stop
I got 15 gal per minute.
Neighbors all around me have between 50 to 100 gal. per minute.
I guess I just put the Well in the wrong spot.
1 Guy up from me several miles got 200 gal. per minute.
That's a lot a water.
Most of our wells in the area are around 300 ft to 350 ft
A Neighboring Community is not so lucky some of those people go down 1000ft and only get 1 gal. per minute and some do not get that much.

The realtor I am fighting in our Community built what I call a Commune in such an area and they do not have water in there Commune so the Suckers they convinced to buy into their Commune have to have water trucked in.
HA HA HA Karma is a Beotch

We do not have the Tall Trees as you probably do.
We have Cedars and Pinion Pines but they are so thick that you can not see into most of the property's 75 ft.
My place is between 5400ft to 5500 ft elevation so we get some snow not a whole lot and we get up to around 100 deg in summer. 3 summers ago we git 115 deg and it was not the norm everyone was cooking that summer.

What I call the sand pit Golden Valley and Needles area they can have that furnace. I have worked out there when it was 120 deg at 2am and 130 deg in the afternoon sun on my thermometer.

Three more flips.

CA04 and CA42 both turned blue, CA05 went red.

GOP gains down to six seats.

DDHQ has called the Ohio Senate race for J.D. Vance by a margin of 53-46. Ohio can breathe a sigh of relief that Democrats were unable to flip the Senate seat vacated by Rob Portman. Fox News is reporting that Tim Ryan has conceded.

Pretty sure you see it that way. For me to give two chits - I have to care what you think. Good luck with that.

Hilarity from the usual sources.

CNN: “This will be the first time since Reconstruction that Florida won’t have any Democrats in state-wide office.”

To be clear, Reconstruction is what happened after Democrats raised arms against their own country.

Prices and costs got driven up on the west coast - pushing a lot of them into AZ. Sad but true.

The two extremely successful campaigns on the right have been Youngkin and DeSantis. Both have run on “culture war is the big tent” platforms. There’s a lesson here. It takes some discipline to fight the culture wars and win. We've seen what DeSantis could do in four years with Florida. Curious to see what Youngkin can do in Virginia -- admittedly a much tougher nut to crack.

During his victory speech, J.D. Vance specifically named 34 people for thanks/gratitude. Trump was not one of them.

I always liked Vance because his "Hillbilly Elegy" was such a great book. Wasn't sure about him as a candidate, but the Trump endorsement in the primary clearly put him over the top. After a rough start in the general, he finished convincingly tonight.

Not to mention Trump... bad manners or is he repositioning?

The vast majority of women are opposed to late term abortion, and a significant majority would restrict it to first trimester.

So where does America stand after Tuesday night? Well, for some reason, no one can properly count votes. Add to that the legacy media and the hard left is giving cover to widespread election fraud in the usual places so it's the same old chit - different day.

The Senate hasn’t changed much number-wise. We might end up deadlocked again, with the GOP maybe taking two seats.

Fetterman beat Oz in Pennsylvania.

Nevada GOP Senate candidate Adam Laxalt is up on Democrat incumbent Catherine Cortez=Masto, 50% to 47%, with 75% of the precincts reporting.

Arizona Democrat incumbent Senator Mark Kelly is up on GOP candidate Blake Masters 52% to 46%, with 66% of the precincts reporting.

Wisconsin GOP Sen. Ron Johnson is holding on against Democrat candidate Mandela Barnes, 51% to 49%, with 94% of precincts reporting.

Georgia is Georgia again! Will they go to a runoff? It’s possible. Democrat incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock is leading GOP candidate Herschel Walker, 49.4% to 48.5%.

The GOP will likely land control of the house, but the incoming results and information show it will be small.

The party grabbed a few seats on Tuesday night. They won VA-02, kicking out January 6th Committee member Elaine Luria and elected Jen Kiggans.

It’s not official yet, but in OR-5, Republican candidate Lori Chavez-DeRemer leads Democrat candidate Jamie McLeod-Skinner 51.11% to 48.89%.

The GOP lost a seat when Democrat Greg Landsman defeated GOP incumbent Steve Chabot in OH-1. Chabot has represented the district since 1995.

The GOP also lost the MI-3 seat to Democrat Hillary Scholten. The GOP ousted sitting Rep. Peter Meijer in the primary, picking Trump-endorsed John Gibbs.

GOP candidate Monica De La Cruz won the newly redrawn TX-15 district.

GOP Rep. Mayra Flores won her seat in TX-34 in June after a special election but her Democrat opponent Vicente Gonzalez defeated her last night.

Nevada: Clark County Was ‘Flooded’ With Mail-in Ballots That May Take ‘Days’ to Count

Posted on November 9, 2022 by Constitutional Nobody

With Republican candidates Joe Lombardo and Adam Laxalt ahead in their respective governor and U.S. Senate races, Nevada’s elections will go down to Clark County, which includes Las Vegas and the bulk of the state’s population. While both incumbent Democrat Governor Steve Sisolak and Senator Catherine Cortez Masto have underperformed expectations in Clark County, a “flood” of mail-in votes remain outstanding. Election officials have stated that it could take “days” to get a final tally, prompting questions.

With 77% of precincts reporting, Republican Senate candidate Adam Laxalt currently leads by about 23,000 votes, garnering 49.88% of the vote to Cortez Masto’s 47.19%. The situation looks better for Republican governor candidate and former Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo, who holds a lead of nearly 40,000 votes over Democrat incumbent Steve Sisolak.

While both Republican candidates currently lead, the race is far from over, as a sizable number of mail-in ballots are reportedly outstanding in Clark County. “Overwhelmed election officials in Nevada say that they have been flooded by thousands of mail-in ballots, and that it may take several days to count the votes and upload results,” reported the New York Times.

Last year, the Nevada began requiring that mail-in ballots be sent to all registered voters. While ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, they will be counted if they arrive as late as Saturday.

It is unclear exactly how many ballots remain outstanding in Clark County, and it is possible that more mail-in ballots will arrive over the course of the week. While this is good news for Democrats, Catherine Cortez Masto is currently winning Clark County by about five percentage points. Biden carried the county by 10 in 2020.

Mail-in votes also remain outstanding in Washoe County, which includes Reno.

“Jamie Rodriguez, the interim registrar of voters in Washoe County, said she was expecting roughly 16,000 mail-in ballots to arrive on Election Day,” the New York Times reported. She said that those votes would not be counted until Thursday because poll workers were so behind.

“Understand that whatever results posted tonight, if there are close races, there are definitely still a large number of votes to be counted,” Rodriguez said on Tuesday night.

Republican chances of taking the senate all but hinge on the Nevada race after Dr. Mehmet Oz was defeated in Pennsylvania. Herschel Walker and Raphael 'Slumlord' Warnock will officially head to a runoff, which could decide control of the senate for a second straight cycle if things go well for Republicans in Nevada and Arizona.
