From my precinct caucus.
DeSantis 63
Trump 62
Haley 38
Vivek 12
Hutchson 3

That is for Precinct 9 Ankeny. We had a speaker for Vivek and she did a real good 5 minutes. Her name was Kathy Burnett. She said she ran against Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania. she was convincing but pretty much everyone had their minds made up before walking in the door.

Grow the #uck up. That was absolutely uncalled for. We are hard working Americans who have kids and pay taxes too just like your neighborhood. I'm glad to see that Nikki got pretty much skunked in our precinct.

Your boy DeSantis should be told to drop out and get behind President Trump!

Your boy ain’t got a snowball’s chance in hell of winning so he should QUIT….QUIT impeding the MAGA movement…QUIT wasting his time trying to sell something that the country ain’t buying…..QUIT undermining President Trump and belittling his massive base……QUIT WASTING HIS CONSTITUENTS MONEY….

DeSantis is going to finish Iowa 30+ POINTS under President Trump! That CANNOT be over emphasized because in any other time or dimension that would be definitive! DeSantis is hoping and betting all his constituents money on something happening to President Trump thereby giving him the nomination….ain’t gonna happen.

DeSanctimonious should be mending fences. If his allegiance is to the big $$ PACs then he’ll stay the course BUT if he’s authentic and he wants a future in federal politics then it’s time for him to STFU and get onboard with the very obvious MAGA MOVEMENT!

DeSantis was recruited and funded by big money Never-Trumpers. His loyalty still lies with that money.
Some of these same big money donors have also funded Haley

If DeSantis were to drop out, there is little chance that he would endorse the man he was hired to stop, he will most likely do what he was hired to do, stop Trump and endorse Haley.

Just curious....how does DeSantis have a chance?
Posted By: AcesNeights Re: I'm baaaack - 01/16/24
It WILL be interesting to see what DeSantis does. This is NOT a typical election cycle with the overwhelming popularity of one man, Trump.

The dipshits that are predicating their political future on bad-mouthing President Trump and allowing the swamp to pull their strings WILL meet the same fate as the dipshits before them that tried the same thing and failed….they’ll be relegated to the one category that all former politicians HATE…irrelevance. None of this was expected by the swamp and none of this can be tolerated by the swamp. How dare the people actually have a real candidate that cares about Main Street?….the swamp will give us what they decide to give us. President Trump screwed their system up…

President Trump enjoys a solid base of support that dwarfs anything seen in modern politics. What the MAGA movement represents is a monolith of similarly minded people (patriots) who love this country and revere the founding principles as outlined and enumerated in our founding Documents as written by our enlightened Founding Fathers! The MAGA movement is all about LAW & ORDER. The MAGA movement is about preserving our freedoms and preserving the rule of law. The MAGA movement is a monolith of PATRIOTS!

I don’t know what parts of the MAGA movement that DeSantis takes issue with but if he thinks that by turning on President Trump and bad-mouthing his MAGA movement will help him get elected in the future….then he’s an out of touch retard. I don’t think he is so his decision will be telling. 😉

He has the same chance as anyone of the current candidates running. This was just the first vote of 52 more. (DC and Puerto Rico) I stood by watching the votes being counted. I was surprised at the number of DeSantis votes going into the pile. There were 178 other voters in the room and in the end, 63 went to Ron. The person who stood up and spoke for Ron was not very articulate and he didn't change a single mind. The same for the Trump and Haley speaker. They wasted their breath and were not convincing.

The speaker for Vivek was Kathy Burnett who claimed she ran against Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania. She knocked it out of the park for Vivek. My guess is she did change a couple of minds. In the end, Vivek ended up with 12 votes.

Haley with 38 votes in our precinct was a flop by all accounts. The billionaire oligarchs should be $hitting down their legs going "oh fu$&".

As far as I am concerned, Ron has a following that just doesn't talk about it. They just vote. I don't know of a single DeSantis sign in any yard in my precinct but he ended up with the most votes.

Why Iowa doesn't deserve it's position in the primary.
Posted By: steve4102 Re: I'm baaaack - 01/16/24
DeSantis spent a lot of time and money in Ioway, Haley did not. She has set her sights on NH.

Gov. Sununu has been canvassing the State stumping for Haley. He is also asking Democrats to vote for Haley in the Republican primary.

Haley is polling neck and neck with Trump right now in NH and if she and Sununu can convince enough Democrats to vote for her, she will take NH.

Then it’s off to the races. DeSantis needed Ioway, Haley did not.

The problem is your candidate is stealing resources and time that should be devoted to beating Joe Biden and the Democrats. Sanctimonious stood in front of the country and guaranteed he was NOT going to run and he went back on it.... he is the worst kind of traitor..... loved and supported Trump and the MAGA movement until it became financially beneficial for him to turn on us..... if you really care about this country you'll get on the wagon.

Are the Iowa Caucuses open primary type or can you only vote for the party you're registered in?

If the former, then how many of those 63 for "Ron" came from Dems, Libertarians, Greens, P&Fs, and independents that will do anything to avoid having Trump on the ballot as the R candidate?

If the latter, the ones that don't talk about being "Ron" followers, or that don't put up signs in their yards are certified Never Trumpers and don't want their conservative family, friends, and neighbors to know for fear of being called out on it.

Is that explanation enough?

Haley is going to do very well in NH, DeSantis not so much. Haley and Sununu are asking Democrats to vote for her in the Republican primary in order to Stop Trump.

It will be tough for Trump to overcome this, especially when Haley and Trump are within a few points of each other with Republicans.

I think after NH, DeSantis will drop out and endorse Haley, after all stopping Trump is what he was paid to do from the get go.

It's ridiculous. There was no chance 4 mo's ago, and it's worse now. In the end Desantis will endorse Trump. Haley? Who knows, but probably she will also.

Maybe maybe not on DeSantis original motivation to run. How would I know. It could be as simple as his eyes were bigger than his stomach and he though he was a bigger fish than what he is after he won re-election in FL. He did win by the largest margin of any Gov. in 40 yrs. That will swell a man's head and make him think things. Not everything is a conspiracy. He will endorse Trump though.

So, you all better not fu$& it up because you are a brick short of a load or the nerves in your eyes and the nerves from your a$$ get crossed and have a $hitty outlook on someone who wasn't your favorite candidate. I only ask (demand) you do the same. I say Ron has a chance of pulling this off. I will even hold my nose closed and vote for Nikki or Vivek if he or she has an R by the name. I don't see me as the problem.

So, go ahead and book mark this page so you don't have another brain fart and forget.

Have I made my point ??? We are either in this together or we lose together.

I don't make the rules of the game. It's the way it's played. I get to vote and support who ever I think will do the job the best. I personally think it's someone else's money well spent. In the end, it makes the other players more honest and there is someone after the election to hold the winner accountable for their behavior. Unless you are a democRAT then no rules apply except to steal the election any way you can because you know you can't win it fair and square.
