Awesome awesome thread guys!! I don't have a way to post pics from my phone but my jack russel Baxter has been spending all the hot days in his 40 gallon water tub with just his snout sticking out like a gator. And I just took a 9 year old boy in that dosent have much of a father. Went to the closet and dug out the 10/22 today, were going on possum safari tonight after we meet the teacher.
K-22 that I snatched recently for Dad. Going to deliver it in person.
Pic of Dad's 2010 buck. Taking a breather after driving 800 or so miles.

Here is a pic my wife took of the same buck the year before. She was pissed I didn't shoot it. Youngster.

Last but not least, my beautimous wife with her first whitetail and mule deer. Both shot last year within a week of each other. If you look closely enough you will see the entrace wound on the whitetail, she shot the MD in the same place, prolly within a couple of inches of that shot.

If you knew him, you could count yourself as priveleged....
JGR..that is the last elk because I had an extraordinary string of luck with them over almost three decades..and it finally got to be too much work to be as fun as it should be. What was an adventure in my twenties became drudgery in my fifties...
That ain't nothin'.

Thank you kindly for the most pleasant feast for the eyes and the soul sir. Thanks of course to those who have participated thus far to make it so and to those who will hopefully join in yet.
This is kinda tough to pick just a few - but -
The goofy grins are because they just got reeled back up after jumping off of a perfectly good bridge.
We spotted this sporty gent up on the Ashnola River - just on our side of the Pasayten Wilderness in Washington.
This was an ancient buck with no fat and no teeth left. It wasn't a particularly tough hunt, but it reminds me of a time when we still had the horses and I was able to live out some lifetime dreams with them.
I've always liked this one just because. We started 'em young at our place.
My best day hunting ever - first deer for both girls within something like 10 seconds and 15 yards of each other. It's my avatar photo as well.
One of the most laid back and relaxing family vacations we've had so far. Someplace on Oahu where the tour bus pulled over?
On a hot day like this it's tough to imagine we need a wood stove, but come another couple months and like as not we surely will. We've got 3 cats at present, but only this one is a confirmed pagan fire worshiper.

This is from a couple of weeks back. We took the kids fishing for a couple of hours before the day got hot at a pond just up the street.
We ended up skunked, but the kids had a good time and thats all that mattered really.
TM, awesome pics! Great looking kids!
I'm up at my mom's place on Hood Canal- pretty close to Scott F's place- and as usual it's great fun. Here's my youngest going off the dock yesterday.
Last night my brother and I got pretty hammered and did a midnight swim. Coooooold. Luckily no pics were taken. We aren't as photogenic as my kids.
Thank you all for posting!
I really think the campfire is a special place, with special folks(and I don't just mean Les and Ingwe special
) moreso than most forums or web communities you could find.
I'd wager there is more actually comaraderie, personal friendship, etc. here than many folks realize. I can truly say I treasure the folks I met in person and gotten to know online.
So lets keep the pic rolling! You guys are doing great, and there have been some really amazing and truly cool photos shared so far.
Here's some more of mine...

Tzone,
Love this one, a friends grandpa had a 760 pump in .300, and he was a woodsman! He used for elk, said it was "hell of a lot stouter than a .30-30".
He came to Arizona in 1906, pushing his families cows, from Tehachapi, California.
Brings back memories!

It's been quite a few years since there were many woodchucks around here. The coyotes were really thick and kept their numbers down. There still seems to be lots of coyotes. Maybe the woodchucks have learned how to avoid the yodel pooches but this one never learned how to avoid a 52 grain HPBT.
