The Bristoes,...somewhere around 1910.

Rene,(great grandmother) Mae (grandmother) and the original Bristoe, Noah,... fiddler extrodinaire.

When Noah Bristoe showed up at a fiddlin contest, everybody else was shooting fer second place.

Youngest brother on our last back country elk hunting trip. He made a bow out of a willow stick, sting out of twine, an arrow out of another willow stick, feathers from a grouse, and even a broadhead out of a piece of elk jaw bone he found in camp.

My son when he was 8 with his first deer kill. I really preached shot placement. I think he did alright!!
I got the Model 70, 7-08 from mudhen, the stock from highridge1 and I'm pretty sure I got the 140 grain partitions from Onpoint.

Monsoons change the landscape from brown to green in a hurry... and last month the fires were the headlines... pic at 75 MPH.

Last friday... Family from across the country converged on camp. My sister and stepmother

[Linked Image]

Myself, Dad and niece... she didn't care if she fished at first but ended up catching around 10 and being the leader on the boat... lol

She's headed to Uganda next month for 8 months on a missionary assignment.

[Linked Image]

My BIL from my wife's sister that were up camping also... and my nephew from my younger sister, who is headed back to college, graduating next semester in engineering... That's very confusing I know, but they got along great and talked about education and jobs like they were long acquainted.

Awesome awesome thread guys!! I don't have a way to post pics from my phone but my jack russel Baxter has been spending all the hot days in his 40 gallon water tub with just his snout sticking out like a gator. And I just took a 9 year old boy in that dosent have much of a father. Went to the closet and dug out the 10/22 today, were going on possum safari tonight after we meet the teacher.

This buck was shot about 15 minutes after my Dad pulled the trigger on his. Just down the hill about 1/2 mile. eek

Last but not least, my beautimous wife with her first whitetail and mule deer. Both shot last year within a week of each other. If you look closely enough you will see the entrace wound on the whitetail, she shot the MD in the same place, prolly within a couple of inches of that shot.
