The evidence completely contradicts their hypothesis.

At the most charitable they are terrible scientist, but it seems more likely they are complete frauds.

Here's a deconstruction of their latest alarmist report:

AOC is a big liar. She is repeating what her handlers say. She is a fake.
The Union of Communist Scientists are a political group that fear mongers to push policy. Nothing new.
"Scientist" used to mean you were an impartial professional who could be trusted to give and impartial opinion based upon facts based upon research. The rise of agenda based science over the last 30 years or so has wrecked the credibility of the hard sciences. Now a special interest group with an agenda will venue shop for someone with a PhD willing to write a paper supporting their desired outcome instead of doing legitimate research into a subject in the hopes that their pet issue will take on a life of its own. The erosion in trust in expert opinion is predictable when so many "experts" have become whores who will espouse anything you want for money and fame.

You see it in medicine today also. So many doctors and other medical professionals are hawking snake oil for a quick buck. You see MD's recommending unnecessary treatments just because they can make a quick buck on an out of pocket charge. Notice how many pharmacies have shady looking fat loss pills right next to the counter, I had one pharmacist friend tell me that he makes a lot of money off of that garbage because there are so many fat housewives who are desperate to lose weight that they'll buy anything that promises to help. My own dentist was pushing me to replace some fillings in my back teeth. When I pressed him on the issue he admitted it would only be for cosmetic reasons, they didn't need replacing for any functional reason. I suspect the real reason was to pocket some quick and easy bucks for doing unnecessary work.
97% of scientists, NASA sees it happening from space, but still we have delusional morons hawking conspiracy theories or thinking scientists somehow forgot about the mini-Ice Age or the dinosaurs when doing their research.

Nope, man-made climate change is real.

Gay, Liberal, and an idiot, is it legal to be all three?
I believe there’s been 5 ice ages in the history of the world, with the last one ending about 14,000 years ago or so. That one supposedly created the Great Lakes.

What caused that ice sheet over Canada and the upper portion of the USA to melt? Were the cavemen riding around in SUV’s back then?
It's all about the money. These people are dependent on government funding their pet projects and must come up with data that supports their desired outcome if they are to continue. It is a shame that science has gone Hollywood but it's what it is and lots of people are happy to believe anything someone says if they have that all important sheepskin for credibility. Politicians are all too happy to fall in line with it because they can control a lot more money and who gets it. Money is power just ask Obama.

We're all suppose to be dead anyway..... in the 70's, they said we wouldn't make it till the year 2000. A 1/4 of the US would be under water from the melting ice. In the '90's, when it became apparent that they had guessed wrong and we were going to make it to the year 2000, they said we wouldn't make it till the year 2020. Well, they may still be right about not making it till the year 2020, but it wont be climate that does us in.

If you keep guessing long enough, sooner or later you're bound to get something right. Even a blind hog finds an acorn, once in a while.
Hottest June ever according to NOAA

Solar Minimum is here
Huh, coolest June I can remember, here. Imagine that. Most be heating in those urban areas because of all the hot air being created talking about climate change......

squidge, any clue how Greenland got its name? People immigrated there from the sea for farming and ranching. Over time the earth cooled and Greenlands average temperature is now below freezing. One day it may be warm enough there again for farming and ranching. We went to Greece about 7 years ago and on a tour of the supposed King Agamemnon's castle which was landlocked by miles of arid land, the guide explained that the sea came almost to the castle in the good kings day, thus his war with the Trojans. Now all scientists, regardless of their belief in the current man made global warming or not, will freely and exuberantly claim and admit that the earth has gone thought hundreds of periods of global warming and global cooling. Those that are honest will say, yes the earth is warming AGAIN but we don't really know why, nor do we fully understand why it has warmed and cooled in the past. Those with an agenda, those who are mindf-cked by this global "right think" will put their objectiveness aside and believe in the RELIGION of global warming as a result of mans activities. I wonder back in the day if dinosaur farts might have exceeded the total CO2 output of the entire human race of 2019. This is a RELIGION and just like any other false religion there are self appointed prophets that are turning good bucks in the pursuit of something they know is total bullshit.

Here is what you and your fellow arseholes need to understand. YOU are useful fools, being manipulated by those that want to change our world into a One World Government, with global control in the hands of a few. The UN is all about climate control, CO2 Tax etc, ever wonder why??
First clue...

Didn't Obama try to make it illegal to refute "Climate Change"?
Jimmy, you and your fellow aersholes "assume" too much!
It's climate change, man can't stop it, it's going to happen no matter what man does.
Isn't NY City under water already?
I made the mistake of turning on PBS News Hour last night at 6:15. I do this about once every 3 months to see what the Libs are up to.
I wasn't disappointed, they started right up with a gal from the Concerned Scientists. She was explaining about the heat wave today in New York and Iowa.

Of course, this is all caused by man made global warming, she said. The moderator guy gravely nodded his head. Yes, she said, if this keeps up we're all gonna die!

Good God, I can remember 40 years ago, there would be hot weather in July, we just called it "summer."
Not even close to the worst heat wave.

1930s, far worse, it's what created the dust bowl.

Of course you will never hear that from the scientists...

Really???? "NASA" doesn't agree..... http://www.plateclimatology.com/mul...ind-melting-polar-ice-not-global-warming

Unless of course we're somehow responsible for the "GEOLOGICAL" conditions under the ice polar ice caps....do yourself a favor and do a little research on both sides of the issue....IOW, try a little critical thinking before you start parroting the boolschit you hear from the MSM and the "GLOBALIST" community....
Its real simple folks. When you hear the commies say the word "green" think of a watermelon. Green on the outside and red on the inside.
Good stuff AS. The green new deal is the old red deal.

The best debunking of climate change is not by climatology professor Judith Curry, but by psychology professor Jordan Peterson.... which speaks to the problem that climate change is a mass hysteria problem, not a science problem.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Curry
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_Peterson
I have to address that "97% of scientists" crappola they keep claiming.

The truth is that some 20 years ago, they took a poll at a climate conference, and about half of those present said that they agreed with human-caused climate change. A few years later, they asked again, and 97% of those who originally believed that still did. So it is NOT 97% of scientists. It was 97% of about half of a small group of scientists. In other words, considerably less than a majority. Less than half - and only of those who attended a conference, NOT the whole population of scientists.

One more lie.
"Climate change" is the trojan horse to eliminate capitalism with socialism. The "green deal" is part of the same ploy. Even one of AOC's spokesman said this a couple of weeks ago.
Hell, even Rachel Carson, author of "Silent Spring" said as much back in 1962 - that the success of the environmental movement hinged on the collapse of capitalism.
Rachel killed more people than Stalin.

Bullshit.

The Ice sheets in the ANTARTIC ARE ACTUALLY EXPANDING.
Yes, the clinate is gradually changing in many areas of the world but there is NO SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN DIRECT LINK to hiuman activity despite what Socialist CUCKS like you keep railing about.
I got a hoot out of this latest 'heat wave' punishing the eastern states!

It's f ucking July...and August and September will be barn burners also!

Damn Yankees can't take it!! eek crazy frown
I 'm all for trading of February's weather with you tough guys....
Sometimes its cold and sometimes its hot. It's hot right now. In a few months if I'm still alive I'll see it get cold again. Life goes on.
It does piss me off that somebody wants to extract tax dollars from me to fix something that we can't fix even if there was something "wrong" with the worlds climate.
I say piss your life and money away trying fix something that ain't broke if you want too but keep your hands out of my pocket.

The world is just fine with over 7 billion people on it and will be just fine with double that because people, you see, actually have no effect on the climate or any other aspect of the environment. I cannot honestly say the climate is getting warmer or cooler. Some years are hot, some are not. One thing which is certain is that some will exaggerate data while others will belittle the same data. The rest will believe what they choose to believe. GD

The problem was that DDT was being using in massive amounts, far more than necessary. You can find old videos of spraying neighborhoods with clouds of the stuff. A fraction of that would have been plenty and wouldn't have harmed the birds.

The solutions mostly involve impoverishing and displacing people. If you want to see environmental change that will do it and not for good

So far as I understood it an ice age is defined by ice on both poles, if this is correct then we are not yet out of the last one.
Do the math:
The suns light takes approximately 30 days to reach Urth.
The summer solstice was how many days ago?
Dead on summer, it gets HOT, most every f'king year.
In my hometown we have not hit triple digits for near 40 years.

I can honestly state that we haven't hit triple digits since we went metric in 1966.

Prove it, schmuck.
People who talking and scream about Global Warming have a lot to explain....how was the Sahara once an Ocean and today a desert ? there are so many times hot regions of the world get super cold and sold regions get hot. Human Population should be looked at for sure, gas combustion should be looked at for sure and also Toxic wastes but Planet isn't dying like they want people to believe.

On average it takes sunlight 8 minutes and 20 seconds to reach the Earth from the sun.

Only in your drug infused mind. To say global warming, or if you prefer climate change is man made is the highest form of egotistical mind f u c k I can think of. tell me goose turd, what is the main source of heat for the planet? It's the sun stupid. here has been times in the history of the planet where it was so hot man could not survive. He didn't even exist at the time so who do we blame all that heat on? Dinosaur farts? Nope. They didn't even exist at that time. There was one period when plant life was so abundant that man again could not survive due to so much oxygen in the air that it would be poisonous to humans.

Tell me, what caused the ice ages? What was the source of the little ice age? Can't blame that one on man nor any of the other ice ages. It's the sun stupid.

Oh but let's talk about Co2. Plant eat Co2 and in turn produce the necessary oxygen we breath. Too much Co2? Plant more trees. Reforest the Amazon Basin. Plant a tree in your back yard.

I don't know if you've ever used a Coleman gas lantern, the type that uses white gasoline that you have to pump up to have pressure so it will work but if you have you can understand this. You pump it up and light the mantle with a match and you have a nice bright light which over time starts to dim. So you pump it back up to put pressure in the tank and once again you have nice bright light. Think about that for a minute and look at it as if it were the sun. The sun, like the Coleman lantern waxes and wanes in power, thus global warming or climate change, which ever term you prefer. When it waxes it gets hot and when it wanes it get cold, maybe cold enough that with outside effects like a meteor strike like the one on the Yucatan Penninsula that killed off the dinosaurs and created an ice age due to too much debris in the air. IIRC, when Krakatoa exploded there was so much stuff in the air that temps were much lower for almost ten years.

I worked in weather for 33 years and climatology was part of the job. I came to the conclusion that climate change being man made was a lie. I believe the heat output of the sun changes slowly over the ages, getting hotter at times and cooler at other times and I have yet to figure out how Al Gore can find a way to blame that on us humans.

Just to clarify or correct a few claims in the replies above.

1. It is NOT 97% of scientists. It was 97% of about half of a select group of scientists polled a few years apart. The first time, about half agreed with human-caused climate change. The second time, only 97% of that half still agreed. So it's not only less than half, it's a declining number.

2. NASA does take surface temperature readings from space. But they "correct" the raw data to account for things like cloud cover. It is notable that they ALWAYS correct that number UP - by almost exactly the amount they claim the earth is warming. So it's a wild-ass guess, and a biased one at that.

3. Sunlight does not take 30 days to reach Earth. Divide the average orbital distance by the speed of light and you get an average of about 8 1/2 minutes. The delay between the start of summer and the hottest days is due to simple heating lag. The same reason as why your skillet doesn't hit fry temperature the instant you turn on the stove.

4. And one final YUUUGE one: Not one single climate prediction of the last 50 years has come true. Not one. Not rising seas, not disappearing polar caps, and not a definitively measurable rise in temperature (or plunging temperature, if you consider the imminent ice age warnings of the 1970s!)

Yes, the climate changes, and yes we are at or near the peak of the span between ice ages. There have been many ice ages. Each one has had a warm time between them, and humans had not one thing to do with it. WE STILL DON'T.

I know you're just a troll, so I'm reluctant to write this, but tell us one thing you know, firsthand, regarding quantitative evidence supporting anthropogenic global warming. Throwing out quips like "97% of scientists, NASA..." indicates you're a believer, but I don't think you actually -know- anything about the subject for yourself. Curious that you seem to be the one who is guilty of being ignorant of the subject, while claiming others here are.

I've never met a -single- person who is well informed on the subject. who has studied the issue carefully and broadly for themselves, who has been convinced of what you -believe- in. Every single person I've met, that claims what you do, actually knows nothing about the subject. Assuming you're a reasonably intelligent person, go study the entire issue for yourself, and then see what you come up with.

As usual though, being a troll, you never actually reply with rational support for your claims.
A world population of 7 billion is sustainable if the majority of that population do not live/consume at the rate of citizens in developed nations.
3.4 billion people, half the population of the earth, live on less than $3.20 per day.

15 years ago that figure was a dollar a day.

Citizens in developed nations also produce more. Additionally productivity goes up as population density goes up. It allows for greater division of labor and specialization.
They are just a bunch of hucksters pushing an agenda. They realize the huge amount of money they could extort from everybody if they can tax the weather. Nobody would be exempt, except them and their minions of course.

Political agenda may come into it, but the actual issue is carrying capacity of the planet given a population of 7 billion plus consuming resources at the rate of developed nations.

Developing nations have every right to lift the living standard of their own citizens, but the question is: is it ecologically sustainable in the long term? Never mind politics or 'left wing agenda' this is purely and simply about long term ecological sustainability.
My father was a hard drinker, even at his 90th birthday party.

He had a favorite joke:
Question: What is the difference between a drunk and an alcoholic?
Answer: Drunks don't have to go to the meetings.

I would change that joke, being a non drinker:
Question: What is the difference between a republican and a democrat?
Answer: Republicans don't have to worry about man made climate change.
Answer: Republicans don't have to worry about man made climate change.

I would change that wording f to "feel religiously obligated" . Remember, religion is an article of faith, not provabe fact.
