Well folks, gone are the days when I could find a few Penrose sausages in my pack as they just ain't around anymore,

Might possibly one of you guys have a recipe that would pass as a reasonable facsimile ? If so I'd like to try it.

TIA,284
Doesn’t Sams club sell the penrose sausages?
Herb's. They're damn good. Especially at 9am with a spicy V8.

Penrose was bought out and canned.

Look for Hanna's, they are decent.

Was eating some homemade kielbasa recently,
got some pickle juice on it.

Damn it was good.

If pork prices ever get back to normal, I'm going to try
pickling some kielbasa.
Ne’ry mind.

Sams has Hannah’s

The Tijuana Mamas aren’t bad.
Wonder if WM has them. Thanks for posting.

I've only seen them in markets/gas stations in BFE. Got a gallon and took them to the job the other week. Mexican and south American dudes were like, no fuggin way! When I offered them one. The black dudes delivering some equipment to the job jumped all over them though!
I miss the penrose sausage. Found no equal to them so far. Prefer my potted meat with a lance orange 4 corner nab.....
One of the main ingredients is "mechanically separated chicken". WTF!?
We said potted meat was tongues and azzhole with turd crumbles for flavor.

It’s good. Vinegar and salt is your friend.

Reminds me of the time I ran over a chicken @ about 60 on my bike.Feathers can't begin to describe

Next day I hit a dog.

Next day my ol' lady kilt a pig down in Kentucky on her bike.

I say lips and beaks. I really like the oily goo at the bottom of the can. Cheaper the better imho.
You'd think you could buy them things on street corners in WV.
if I tried to DIY that, it would taste like skunk urine

Some things are better left to an $8 an hour mexican with an industrial vat of nitrates and proprietary toxic chemicals

You are probably correct...

I live back in the hills. We don't have no steenking corners.

Culinary wasteland here but folks be mighty proud of they chili dawgs tho'.
I like pickled sausages but it's a one sided affair, they hate my guts so I dont eat them. I do love potted meat and saltines though.

I know one thing, my homemade salsa tastes like seaweed.

I even made some homemade peach wine. Tasted like balsamic salad dressing. 🤮
