I have a Ruger Mark 2 Competition Target..I want a Sig Trailside but I'm not completely set on it..wouldn't mind getting ideas..I also wanted a Ruger Single Six but my local gunshop can't get one with fixed sights..I won't have adjustable sights on a sidearm..personal quirk..they rust around me
Have a Browning Buckmark. Want a Ruger Single Six. Wouldn't have a .22 without adjustable sights. Ain't like I'm using them for self defense or anything. Also wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Ruger Mk II competition model. Something about that slabside barrel that I can't get enough of.
I have an old High Standard model "B" 1B configuration, a Stevens tip up and a new Taurus Tracker 6 1/2" with adj sights soon to have a red dot on it.

Want ... a few:

Ruger MkII standard and slabside, single-six (for serious shooting, Bearcat for plinking and general having a lotta fun with. If not a Bearcat then perhaps on of those 9-shot DA Taraus's, they look like an afternoon of fun!!
I have a Ruger MarkII and a High Standard Model GE which is the one I use most of the time. dvnv
Currently own two:
S&W Model 18 - 4" K-frame
Ruger Mark II 5" bul barrel with Volquartsen trigger

Just sold a S&W Model 63 - that's the stainless kit gun.

Have owned in the past:
Colt Woodsman and Browning Challenger with beautiful wood grips - Woodsman was first given to my father, then me, the Browning bought in 1968 for $75. Both sold many years ago by an ignorant fool (me!) who did not realize what he had.
Ruger Single Six
Ruger Bearcat
Another Model 18
Another Model 63 - stolen many years ago
Two Model 17's - K-frame with 6" barrel
Colt MkIII - built on a .357 frame - WAY too big and heavy for a .22
Ruger Mark II standard - stainless, fixed sights 6"
Ruger Mark II Gov't Target
Ruger Mark II 10" silhouette model
H&R Model 939 or 999 or something - had a key lock in the grip, my first .22 revolver bought for me by my father when I was about 11 or 12.

Probably a couple of others I can't remember at the moment...
Browning Buckmark Challenge.
Beretta model 21a.

Shopping for a DA 22lr revolver, but haven't decided which.
Trying to talk inlaws out of a Ruger single six.

Jim in Idaho - I'm curious as to why you sold the model 63?

Eventually I will probably kick myself and ask that same question.

Mainly because I didnt shoot it any more. Mechanically it was accurate enough although the width of the red ramp front sight filled the rear sight notch a bit too much very little daylight on either side - making it difficult to properly align, so I was always getting horizontal stringing on my groups. The front was integral with the barrel so it could not be replaced. Whenever I carried a handgun out hiking I either used my Ruger .45 Blackhawk or a S&W Model 15 .38. A while ago I settled on a 4 Model 586 .357 specifically for a woods carry gun.

Then theres my Model 18 .22 that is my main plinker/fun gun. It is very accurate, like most all S&W .22 revolvers. The K-frame grips fit my hand much better than anything I put on that J-frame and I tried the original little stocks, Pachmayr Compacs and a S&W Target grip.

The purchase of the Model 18 a few years ago pretty much retired the Model 63 to the back of the shelf. Im trying and partly succeeding in reducing my gun collection to those that I actually use, so the Model 63 went on the block. Being a discontinued item in excellent shape I was able to charge and get a good price for it.
Like many of the above posters, I have several.
Check these out:

Stocks for the above T/C guns are by Bulberry to make use of their free-floating hanger system. The T/C guns are scoped and very accurate.
Got a couple good .22s around.

S&W Mod.17 .22lr

Colt Officers Model Match .22mag

Colt SAA Frontier Scout .22lr( never been shot, I know what fun are they if you can't use them. Maybe one of these days.) Have a whole lot of fun with the first two though. That .22mag plays hell with jackrabbits. C
I have a Browning Buckmark. I also want a Ruger single six. I can't decide between the .22LR/.22Mag or the .17HMR. When I decide I'll buy one.
S&W model 17 22lr
S&W model 48 22mag
I have an old blued steel S&W M17 .22lr with a six inch barrel that I bought new around 1980. I also have a conversion unit for my Kimber Compact 1911. The Kimber has an aluminum frame, and the conversion unit (slide) is aluminum, so when put together it makes for a .22 that hardly weighs anything. Oh, and I mustn't forget the North American Arms Mini Revolver in .22lr. I would like eventually to get a Sig Trailside and a Ruger Bearcat too.

My 22 handguns include a Ruger SP101 (which resulted in about eight more sales of the same after mine was seen) and a High Standard in the Sportsman version, I believe which is in rather rough condition and lacks a magazine but is fun to shoot even single loading it.
Late 1970's Ruger MK I with 6 -7/8" target barrel.

A Ruger MK II stainless 5.5" bull barrel, MK II Target Slabsides, Rossi 4" stainless DA revolver, and a Taurus 4" stainless 9 shot DA revolver. Believe it or not the Rossi and Taurus revolvers are very accurate.
A pair of Ruger MK II stainless 5.5" bull barrel .22's. One is straight out of the box and a joy to shoot. The other wears an integral suppressor, bomar sights, match grade 2# trigger and it makes very little noise.

I've got a High Standard Sharpshooter which is a real sweetheart of a plinker. But the one that always seems to tag along is my old Beretta 70S. Digests everything I feed it without a burp and the machining is flawless. The action feels kinda like glass on glass.
I have had a S&W 617 stainless, 6" barrel, full lug, six shot for over ten years. Taught my wife how to shoot with it. It is a joy. This past Christmas I bought my wife a Ruger New Model Six 50th Anniversary with two cylinders, .22LR and .22 Magnum. she bought me the NRA Ruger MarkII semi auto. Handsome pistol and a great shooter. Those last two are more on the collector side than the shooter side. The MarkII was a lot of fun to shoot and accurate the New Model Six is handsome but a little light to be accurate. Have not tried the magnum cylinder yet. Maybe I will get a target Ruger or the Sig Trailside unless I splurge and get the S&W 41.
Ruger Mark II 5.5 Bull Barrel
H&R M999
High Standard Sentinel (cheap but super accurate)
I have a Browning Buckmark Micro Plus Nickel - Wood Laminate Grips - Pro Target 4"Bull Barrel
Also S & W Model 22A - 4" Barrel and
Older H & R Breaktop 9 shot

Buckmark is my favorite rim fire pistol while my wife likes the S & W best.
2 high standard double 9's. One blue with wood grips and one with whats left of what appears to be a nickel finish(dad used to keep it in a leather holster) and "ivory" grips
Standard Ruger Mk II (5.5"). Not fancy, but basically fault-free (unless you want to disassemble the thing, of course).

I have a S&W 617 (6", six shot, stailess, rubber grips, adjustable sights).
Just purchased :
a Ruger New Model Six-50th Anniversary (.22 LR and .22 Magnum cyliders).
a Ruger Mark II NRA Bill Ruger Commemorative (.22 LR).

My list is:

NAA 22LR Pocket Revolver

After fifty-few years with a raft of great .22 handguns (don't know whether I could list 'em all), I'm down to an irreducible two:

Ruger Mark II Government Model
Taurus Silhouette Model (12-inch barrel)

Wish I still had several of my old ones -- especially the pre-WW2 S&W K-22, S&W Kit Gun, S&W Model 41, High Standard HD-M, High Standard Field King, High Standard Victor. If any of these in good condition at a reasonable price shows-up when I have a pocketful of money, don't get caught between us!
Hi Ken,

I opted for the 6" Tracker in .22LR after the .17HMR didn't work out. They are shooters for sure.
I've had a slew of revolvers over the years. Mrs 41magfan gave me a MKII, wish I was good enough to hunt squirrels with it. I'll just have to keep practicing.
S&W K-22
S&W .22-32 Kit Gun 4"
S&W .22-32 Target 6"
Colt Pre-Woodman
Colt .22 Conversion Unit for my Gold Cup
Glock 17 Ceiner Conversion Unit.

The Kit gun has been a constant companion for over 40 years.
H&R 999 .22 LR. A very accurate firearm and old too.

S&W 38 Special, very old and put away. It belonged to my Grand Father. He rode horse back and was The Law Man.

Ruger Bisley/Vaquero SS 5.5" 45LC, simulated ivory handles with several modifications/improvements.

I also have a super old cap and ball 32 cal. I believe.
It's put away as well.

I have an old High Standard double nine I got from a Buttrey's store some 35 years ago for 39 buck's brand new.It still shoot's like the day I got it.
Let's see......

Ruger Single Six revolver - .22LR and Mag cylinders.
NAA .22LR mini revolver.
Rohm .22 short revolver.
Brescia .22 short semi auto.
Star Lancer .22 LR semi auto.

The Star is by far my favorite. Less than 6 inches total length but very accurate. I have no idea why.

Shucks... only 5... need more.
My first was a High-Standard Sentinel 9-shot four inch. Then a Colt New Frontier, 22LR/22Mag. Then a European model compact, fun to shoot but kept breaking firing pins, I don't even remember the make. Lately I'm shooting the bejesus out of my Browning Buck Mark, 5.5 inch barrel with gorgeous laminated grips, shoots way better than I do. A fun afternoon with that one is spent breaking clay pigeons on a hillside at 100 yards. I don't hit them every time, but I do keep them nervous! By the way, The Colt in 22 Mag shot numerous 25 yard groups under a half-inch, the 22LR cylinder averaged around two inches.

A Browning Buckmark 5.5 Field, and a High Standard S-100.

How many.... Twentytoo too many...but I use the .22s mainly for teaching Basic Pistol Classes so it's a good excuse to have a few around....

S&Ws
M53 .22 Jet w/ extra LR cylinder. Have had since 1974 and has killed more small game than all my other handguns combined.

M651 .22 Magnum w/ extra LR cylinder. This gun always goes in the survival pack.

M317....Airlite...great for teaching kids to shoot.

1951 vintage Combat Matrepiece.

1951 vintage Target Masterpiece.

M63

M34 .22 Kitgun with a M35 6" target barrel on it. A great shooter.

Colt GM round top .22 Conversion Unit that now wears BoMar sights

Colt GC .22 Conversion Unit.

AMT AutoMag MKII in .22 Magnum 6"

Would like to one day own a Ruger Stainless Target with 6 7/8"" tapered barrel and a Freedom Arms .22LR/.22 Magnum 6".

what about the plastic magazine ?
So far the "plastic" composite magazine works very well...not unlike the frame of a Glock. Only time will tell. Some of the original magazines were problematic. My Sig only has a couple hundred rounds through it but to date not one malfunction. I can't say that about the last Ruger MK2 I had...emphasis on "HAD". The Sig is a fantastic little gun I highly recommend them to any one willing to pay for a preimum 22.

I sure would like to have one but I just got a Colt Combat Commander so the Sig will have to wait

is that Beretta 21A any good ? I always wanted an Inox version
I have a Ruger Mark in the shorter heavy barrel. What can you say about the Mark? Everyone needs at least one of these!

Also, a Dan Wesson Pistol Pack in 22 rimfire with 2.5, 4. 6 & 8" barrels and two grips. My $150.00 steal! Great for kids with the ability to change grips and barrel lengths.

The nicest shooting 22 I have is a Bernedelli Model 100. The grips fit everyone's (who has ever hefted it) hand like a glove. It just lays them in there.

I know I need another 22 but I just can't remember what it is. I hope it comes back to me when I have some money in my pocket again! ha ha!
I only have one! A S/S SINGLE SIX with HOGUE grips and the Mag Cylinder. It shoots great with the 22LR / 22WMR ammo. I sold my RUGER MKII Target last year. I just wanted a little more flexability with the 22 Mag capability.

Logansdad - the little Beretta is something of an oddity these days. When I bought it, there were darned few good options for truly small pocket pistols. I bought it with that use in mind - but now it's just kind of a novelty, since I have better options.

Is it any good?

Well - it is way more accurate than you would expect. Putting that accuracy to use is challenging - due to the tiny sights. The sights are regulated well. The trigger ain't half bad. I've put thousands of rounds through it, and it's still going strong - although there is a roll pin for holding the ejector that needs to be replaced, as it tends to start to back out after a few hundred rounds now (it can't fall out or anything, but it has to be worked back in place to remove the slide - a tedious chore).

For me, the little gun's greatest value is the fun of watching others try to hit with it. I have shot it so much that I can do some pretty impressive things with it (if I do say so myself) - that is - when my eyes aren't giving me trouble. It's great fun to watch others do poorly with it and then show them how it's done. It does seperate those who have learned good marksmanship from those who have not.

It has been, and still is, completely reliable with CCI Stingers - which also happen to be it's favorite accuracy load.

With so many better choices nowadays, I would not recommend the 21 for any kind of serious shooting, but one thing it is good for is forcing you to learn to concentrate on sight alignment and trigger control.

And if you're up for the challenge, it IS fun to shoot!

Oh yeah - it also works great as a blank pistol for retriever training (single-loading the tip-up barrel, and clean-up is a snap).

Revolvers: a pair of high standard double nine's. One nickle, one black. Every now & then I play cowboy dave & light up the burn barrel back behind the house with two guns a blazin. I look at my boy & say "did you hear that boy? That burn barrels spoutin off again, it's time to teach that burn barrel a lesson, lets go." he just laughs & watches me cut that rusty barrel up with 18 hip shot rapid rimfires. What a hoot, northern redneck? Guilty as charged.
No pistols (autos) today, just sold a mark 2 50th anniversary other than that justa big zip lock bag full of baretta M-9 parts, slides, barrels etc.
