I think it was right at 7lbs without the scope and rings.

The Musketeer my brother bought through the mail from the old Gander Mountain about 1967 or 68 had aluminum bottom metal, which he immediately replaced. Hard to say what they had earlier. The slightly more upscale Supreme had steel.

Nice rifle. I've got two FNs now, a 1948 FI crested .270 and a Sako High Power, but I still look once in a while. They're like potato chips.
