What did the terminal wounding look like? How much damage, penetration, etc?

Couldn't tell you. I don't open up the nasty old boars because I don't eat them. No exit though...

In my experience the bullet penetrates well but doesn't leave huge wound channels.

Nothing wrong with straps and hams. Use a clean knife that aint cutting hair!

Theres only one reason a 223 doesnt work for the piggys: the wrong bullet.

I saw the first episode of "Shooter" last night. The lead character stated that the .223 with 55 grain bullets isn't adequate for anything larger than a squirrel. It must be true or it wouldn't have been on t.v. whistle

I'm sure a few 1,000 pound polar bears taken by Eskimos would not argue. They (bears) are quite dead.

Yep, that first episode was pretty stupid. I got past it, and the next few were better. Better than 90% of the crap on Netflix.

Don't worry. Everybody knows that anything said on TV is false.

I hate to hear this. I just bought full head to toe Mossy Oak Camo and face paint to wear in a Texas box blind! Also I picked up a case of Scent Killer Gold and two Ozonics units, plus 13 various calls and two bottles of that smokey stuff to check the wind.....I learned about all this stuff on TV.....

I once bought a scent loc suit as well, we low IQ hunters are easy prey to the savvy PT Barnum like marketing in Outdoor life. I do draw the line at deer smokin sticks.
