Doesn't Florida pay a "per foot" bounty on pythons? That snake might be worth the cost of a round or two of golf if they could get it away from the gator.
When we had condos on Kiawah Island, SC, there were gators everywhere. If you went out for a walk during a warm summer rain, they seemed to come alive and would be out and actively moving between water bodies. Never having been around gators, I was amazed how big a gator would show up in a small amount of water. I was also amazed by how tame the deer were, how they would just step aside if you met on the boardwalks, and how odd it was to see deer tracks in the beach sand.
