McM says it will take a Douglas #5

The Doug #5 appears to be just smaller than a light Palma.

I have a Tikka CTR (similar to light palma) that I’d like to drop in, and use the T3 bottom metal.

I’ve read the Sako McM Classic has a good bit of meat in the forearm. Anyone use one and can confirm? Hoping it would take the CTR barreled action

I have one of these stocks and it is hands down my favorite big game rifle, mine has a Sako AV action with a Shilen barrel that is a slightly larger contour than the factory barrel was (not sure what # it has been a few years). the barrel is .760" at the tip of the stock and the flat on top of the stock at the tip is 1" at 10.750" ahead of the action.

Any photos? And what does that barrel measure at the muzzle?

I have one with a #5 contour Lilja barrel. At the muzzle (24" barrel) it is 0.7 inches.

How’s the stock handle that barrel? Plenty room for the contour?

Seems to handle it fine. I would guess you could even go larger but do not know what other limits the stock may have. Mine has the Edge fill.

Thanks DKim. Looks about how I expected, with a little more room for barrel, but not much. On fence on whether or not the light palma would work there. Thanks again.
