I have a couple of Sightrons and consider them the best scopes I've ever used for reliability, function, and optical performance.

Sightron is good stuff. smile -Al

Al,

That is pretty high praise... So of the following, which would you recommend for a .308 'tweener that's a hair under 8lbs w/o scope? This is currently my do everything rifle, from shooting paper for load development to clays at 550, to hunting this fall. 'roads will point out that I do most of my shooting on paper, which is true, but I hope to get past that... crazy

* Sightron 3.5-10x44 w/ SF
* Sightron 3-12x44 w/ AO (I like this one becuase of the target knobs, but they can also be had for the Monarch, and even the regular knobs are re-indexable to zero.
* Nikon New Monarch 3-12x42 w/ SF
* Sightron Big Sky 6x42.

You can see back lit .22 bullet holes ? WOW. You must have it focused well.
How much adjustment range do you have ? Those low profile turrests look very good and I would bet gives that scope a strong selling point.
Try taking any long range parallax out with the focusing ring.
What did the eye relief test at ? E

E;

Eye relief measures in at a solid 4". A shade shorter than the FX-III, to be sure, but still plenty. Mucho lateral forgiveness in head positioning as well; EASY, fast acquisition.

And, yeah, it was well focused.... easily so.

I'm liking the low-pro turrets. I'm going to see if I can get Hondo's requested pic up today.
