Barrett Fieldcraft 21” plain Barrel 6.5cm
As new, no box. This is one of the last Fieldcrafts to leave Barrett. It was a demo (show demo/non-shooting demo) rifle. Barrett had a scope mounted on the rifle but it wasn’t fired other than the initial testing Barrett does. I picked it up from the gun store next door to Barrett in TN. Barrett routinely sends product over to this particular shop to be sold.
$2000 shipped to the lower 48 or preferably will accept a trade for a Fieldcraft in 6cm or 7-08.

Same rifle. I later talked to the Sales guy I bought it from. He explained and apologized for it not having the orig box. He also said he did not see any signs of a scope being mounted. In his defense the mark is super faint. He went back and researched the history of the rifle and found that it was a demo that Barrett had just sent them. This store is next door to Barrett. It wasn’t on the shelf long. No fast one here, bud. I have more integrity than that.
I had it sold to a good buddy, but when his wife got wind of she put that Christmas kabosh on it, so it’s back up for trade or sale.
Are you Interested in the very nice 6.5 Fieldcraft? If not move on and start your own post. Thank you.

I’m going to defend the OP for clarity.....
I’ve bought a boatload Fieldcraft demo’s over the past few years. Very few ship in the factory box. We’ve seen them come in plain brown boxes, white boxes and even Plano cases.
The majority of those guns were never fired outside of the factory. In fact, we’ve had a few that came in without the firing pin. They were show demos that had traveled around the country on display. Some of which have some scratches and scopes had been mounted for photos etc.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

The story and or circumstances are not the reason it’s not selling... people are buying used ones as soon as they hit the market for what they sold for when new...

.270 on GB right now is almost $2400. New with the box.... If someone needs a comparison for current values.
Are you part of the problem or part of the solution?

I think this is the only prediction I’ve ever gotten right in my life that I actually acted on. The Fieldcraft was just too good to be true at the original price point. They are definitely worth more than they were selling for when they were in production and not sure that Barrett was making that much profit on them (either that or government contracts are way more lucrative). I wish I could do the same with my 401K.

It’s not,...gas used to be a nickel.. The market sets the prices. This rifle is priced correctly in today’s market like it or not. Good luck to the seller, nice rifles!

Would the OP be willing to share the serial number or a partial number? You said it's one of the last ones to leave the factory. I'd like an idea as to how many were made.

There is a real shortage of all types of guns right now. Go out on GB and see if you can find ten factory new Kimber Montana's for sale. Not that long ago you could find Montana's in all calibers but now it's hard to find one at all. People are paying really high prices on guns right now that they wouldn't have six months ago.

Bump for a great rifle.
Bought my 6.5x55 from Whittaker’s as a demo. It had a small knick on the receiver that the rail covers. Paid $1440 for it and could be happier with both the rifle and the investment.
Wouldn’t want to be in the market now for one! Glwts.
Fear the crabcat.
