Maybe we can contact "The State" and see if they have any pictures of the Model 70. Just eliminate Lee24 as the middle-man. This is really pathetic.

I don't think I'd like that rifle on my Kifaru Gunbearer! Maybe its for the Alaska Fish & Games timber wolf "census" program?

A standard M-70 had a MSRP of $126.25 in 1951. I want one made to the quality standard back then and will be happy to pay that much with inflation factored in. Course gas only cost $0.29 per gallon back then, and a decent wage was about $2 per hour.

Interesting link to The State article - did you notice that the Army buys 95% of the production? If FNUSA doesn't ever re-introduce the M70 it wouldn't effect their bottom line much at all. With that fact in mind I would speculate the new M70 is a labor of love and will be limited in numbers, high in quality, and high in price. Looking forward to adding one to my M70 collection. I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

Thanks for posting that. Hey, who's the guy in the backround, Lee24? Probably sending an e-mail to triggerguard or working on a press release.

Nicely figured wood on the row in front. If that guy is the only one no wonder it takes a long time.

Triggerguard,
Did you stop to think what it was that was "lying", before you shot off your mouse? There were other pictures from FN used in THE STATE, too, and some that were not published. Permission has to obtained from authorities, from FN, and from the photographers, depending on the sources. If you can't wait on that, go find your own pictures and post them. Until then, shut up and be polite. I don't owe you any pictures, descriptions, or any other free education.

Sandlapper,
Where did your picture of the stocks in the racks come from?
I hadn't seen that one.

I hope they put the retail store back there like they had when they were building Browning stuff before the war in Iraq cranked up. I bought a nice High Power and a BDA for $325.00. I got a super nice Model 70 stamped "Columbia, SC", too.

Maybe it was this picture you posted claiming that you took this from your laptop. People were doubting that you were able to take pictures inside of the FN plant. Then you post this, that you got from a newspaper and claimed it your own. Do the math.

I wish I could get in the room and hand select the stock I want! Look at the grain in the butt of the stock second from the left.

I can neither confirm nor deny that the picture was taken in 2008.

RDFinn,
Maybe you can point me to where I said anything about who took the picture I posted, the date, or part of the factory. I posted the only picture I had on my laptop at the time, while I was in the airport. Sorry it flipped you out.

It's sad how some Winny worshippers go from begging for information to demanding it, then to calling people names for witholding it, and names if they do.

I also posted some facts about the Model 70s branded and sold as FN in another thread. Go there and add some more stupid comments.

Triggerguard stated first and best, your a liar. I guess I'll wait for you to get permission to post some pics of the Model 70's you claim to have taken or are they going to be from newspapers as well.
