Got this one Saturday evening. I'm pretty proud of him. No high fence, no supplemental nutrition - just a pure open range Texas Whitetail. He didn't give me much time. Shot was 100 yards offhand with my .257 Roy as he faced me dead on. My best buck, so far. Used 80gr TTSX loaded to 3700. He was the biggest bodied deer I have ever shot. He looked every bit as big as me, and I currently weigh 185. The 80gr TTSX did not exit, but he was facing me dead on. You can see the entrance wound in the picture if you look carefully.
