Does anyone have the contact information for a repair tech who specializes in EP Weavers? I have a Steel K2.5 reported to be from a Savage 99 since very early 50's. Scope appears to be in serviceable condition but would like to have it refurbished, parallax poss changed to 50 yards for use on a "Brush Gun" style 22RF, and poss reticle change to big thick Duplex.
TIA

Don, Parsons scope service can do all you want but you will end up VERY upside down on a K 2.5.
K 2.5 are easy to take apart and clean yourself, just don't break the crosshairs ! The parallax is easy to adjust. Just clamp the scope, or the scope mounted on a rifle, set up a grid target @50 yards, take off the caps & adjustment dials, loosen the turret locking screws (that hold it to the tube) and you can then GENTLY tap the turret forward and back to eliminate parallax.
As an alternative you might wish to consider a Leupold 1-4 VX 2 shotgun model which has the heavy duplex and is already parallax set for 75 yards.
You can also frequently find K 2.5s and 2.5X Lyman All Americans
with a post and crosshair on Ebay. The PCH is in many ways superior to a HD for a brush gun.
A K 2.5 is a great old scope and most hunters carrying around monster variables would be better off with it ..... ask Finn !

When Frank Ruiz retired from servicing El Paso Weavers a couple of years ago, Iron Sight bought all of Frank's repair parts inventory, and now does repairs of steel tube Weavers.
The web sire for Iron Sight is listed above.

Thanks Bobby and (again) Don. I am chatting with the Iron Sight folks to pick a refurb package now. I'll let you all know how it works out.

Don, I'd be interested in hearing how Iron Site repair work turns out.
I have several old Weavers that came along with the Rem 722's I bought, and one in particular could use some work.
Thanks,

Don
