Another IMR 4064 clone...in identical test situation in 308 match loads, I got a hair more velocity, a hair less pressure with grain for grain test with AA 2460. The difference was probably statistically invalid.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

PLUS! One can find it on the shelves of local stores that carry rifle powder... Like Sportsmans Whorehouse around here.

Looed this up on a Burn Rate chart....
Was surprised, that it was right before IMR 8208 and AR Comp on the Burn Rate Chart.
Loaded up some to test tomorrow on the 6 x 45 Case, to see how it performs vs AR Comp.
4064 is still further down the burn rate chart....# 116 for 2460 and # 127 for IMR 4064.
Can be a big just in just those number alone.
2460's kernals look exactly like H 380... little ball bearing shape.

Trip to the range, with them loaded in the 6 x 45 with the Hornady 87 gr BTHP Match bullet. Charge of 24 grains of 2460. Rifle has a one in 7 twist on it... Did two volleys, with 10 rounds each.
Did a pretty tight group at 100 yds.... Easily as accurate as AR Comp for the same bullet, charge weight and distance.
Slower than some rounds on target with AA 4064, but just as small of a group.
Gonna pick up a couple more pounds at Sportsman's W.H.
