Osky Clark County IN has always been corrupt to the core. I'm just amazed that they elected a Republican sheriff in the first place (RINO, of course). Actually, ALL of southern Indiana is about as corrupt as DC or NY. I lived there for years, and finally moved out awhile ago, but still live fairly close by. As long as you know somebody "in the loop", you can get away with most anything, like the sheriff was doing.
You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

The current sheriff Scottie Maples was the chief deputy for the accused former sheriff Jamey Noel. He must not have been very observant if he didn't realize something was amiss until after he became sheriff.

See the 50 year old 'glam wife' - the high-sheriff was doing everything he could to hang onto her.
I used to pick up a local newspaper in Florida called Cuffed. It showed everyone who was recently arrested mug-shot. There was always the usual suspects- blacks selling drugs, bubba's >DUI'. Women? majority of the time arrested for stealing/bouncing checks/forging checks/stealing from employers.
